Anyways, here's the view from the front. They don't look bad, and they serve a purpose. The Raven cruising by didn't seem to be too offended, but he may have been laughing. I don't really care what anybody else thinks.
That looks great! You've got to worry about people who get worked up over the look of mud flaps.

Yes, i agree! It is your truck and if you like them, then do it!

I personally don't like the look of splash guards on the WK2.
But then there are also people who don't like the chrome side steps, which I have on mine and love!

to each his own

I plan on getting 250K miles out of my truck and I don't want the rockers to rust out. I put the flaps on. I am neither here nor there on the look, but do like the fact that I am not getting chips and tar on the sides of the truck.

In the end, do what you want - it's your truck.
250,000 miles! I read somewhere here that Jeep builds them for 150,000 miles. You're a better man than me. Lotsa luck, seriously.

Re: Mud Flaps - Yes or No

I don't care for the looks of mine. However, I paid for them, and they are functional. If they save me from a few rock chips, they served their purpose.

Interesting, where'd you read that?

Regardless, I assume that just means when they design, build, and test, they aim for 150K miles of high-ish reliability, and not necessarily that they build it to go for 150K miles and then fall apart and die. So > 150K is entirely possible.

Might be wrong though.

Not ideal but mine have stayed on even after being bogged in sand a couple of times.

Re: Mud Flaps - Yes or No

I took mine off for the first couple of times, then forgot to another.
We got bogged (driver error, not car) and im not quite sure what happened but the flaps got bent to such an extent that the push in clip thing (not the bolts) came out. As a result the flap is a little bit more wobbly, but not falling off.
I would suggest taking them off, it's not hard and it certainly saves the worry

Re: Mud Flaps - Yes or No

Ive got front and rear on my 2011. I live on a dirt road, and before i got them, it was IMPOSSIBLE to keep that thing clean. Look at how dirty your jeep is now and multiply that by ten in about half the time...

Re: Mud Flaps - Yes or No

Does anyone have any recommendations besides the Mopar / Jeep mud flaps. I had them in the past and the ones form the Jeep dealer work great but not so great for looks.
