Murder - Step 1 of ?

Finally had a friend use matte black 3M 1080 vinyl tape to wrap the chrome window trim on my 2014 JGC Overland.

I personally don't like the over abundance of chrome on the new Overlands, so had a friend wrap all the chrome window trim yesterday with Scotchprint.

Was very happy how it turned out, big difference and just the beginning of some things I am going to be attempting.

This is how it used to look:

What it looks like now (still need to tint front window and front side windows):

How come you only have the Trail Rated badge on the drivers side (passenger side for us Ozies lol). That hitch step would be good for stopping people "touch parking" behind you.

The trail rated badge only comes on the driver's side - you'd have to buy another badge to have it on both sides. The hitch step is a good prevention tool for parking lot idiots, lol.

Strange that you only get one badge? I guess your passengers don't need to know huh lol.

Hold it there Pistorius: maybe plastidip would be better to accomplish the rest of your nefarious goals...like mirrors, radiator grille and lower fascia. I hate thinking of the summer time heat softening the tape and leaving all the goo there...

Yeah we only get one badge. I am tempted to relocate mine to the rear.

Re: Murder - Step 1 of ?

I didn't want to use plastidip as I was looking for something more permanent. Not worried about goo from vinyl tape it is easily removed. I would like to black out grill, get body colored mirror caps, and door handles too. Just planning ahead right now.
