My 2015 Altitude

I really wanted a 5.7 but for the price, I went with an Altitude for the all black look. I even had the dealer install the Nav since they're already Nav capable. It's an added cost but I got them to throw it in for nothing. Rip offs.

Anyway, so far all I've done is tint the windows and strip on the windshield, swapped the grill inserts for black, same with tail light bezels, and getting ready to put black lug nuts on. Once that's done, I'll paint the chrome window trim and get the interior trim body matched, also want to get the SRT headlights. Maybe throw a cold air intake on it in the future. Any one do engine mods yet?

Pics or we don't believe you. 😀

Not sure about painting the chrome window trim. Vinyl wrap would be best option then plastiDip.

Re: My 2015 Altitude

plastidip is a nightmare on the window trim. vinyl, or leave it be. Actually think the chrome window trim looks great *if* you have everything else blacked out.

Re: My 2015 Altitude

I don't think he said anything about plastidip, just paint. Either way as recommended above I would go with vinyl. Can be professionally installed as well if it's too difficult.
Those SRThradlights probably cost you a pretty penny. Even damaged those things are going for a grand. Brand new it's like $2,000! Serious $$$

Congrats on the purchase! Altitudes are cool looking Jeeps.

Check out my build thread for more info on these lights if your interested. I had Srt lights and it was a headache. These are plug and play and cost 345 dollars shipped for the pair.

Where did you get the black grill inserts? I have a 2015 Altitude and so far all I've done is put on black Gorilla lug nuts. I plan to have a local body shop quote on painting the window trim. I've also ordered OSRAM halogen replacement bulbs for the headlights and foglights. I figure the brighter white will be a step up, although not as big a step as replacing the complete headlights.

Wow! I can't believe the price. Only $53. And they have installation instruction. It says for Hemi but I'm assuming the installation procedure is the same for an Altitude?

Hey man, love your lights. I thought about going for the SRT lights but you stated that it's a PITA...how are those other front lights you got? Is that the entire housing as well? I love the OEM black housing on my 15 Altitude, but I'd love to get the LED DRL's.

Re: My 2015 Altitude

Converting the halogen headlights to the factory hid setup is tricky as skunkd mentioned..it requires rewiring with a custom harness

I had factory hids on my limited but I've swapped them for srt lights

In the short time since swapping them I'm already on my 3rd set of headlights..don't buy used ones

I got a set of brand new srt lights and I'm still battling condensation issues with one ..the srt lights are 1000$ each as already mentioned previously..

I'd just go for the eagle eyes that skunkd has if I were you

As far as engine mods go..I've tried a lot of the bolt ons you can find

Kind of a waste of money ..the cai makes it sound better but adds no real hp..ported throttle bodies (I tried 2) seem to add throttle response ..but once again no real hp..I tried 3 diff exhaust setups..no real hp gain just better sound

I even have the sprint booster..that's the best bang for the buck if you want the perception of more hp

But the only real hp gains I've found were from supercharging..but that's more extreme than most here are comfortable with..
