Re: My mods

So here is todays progress. Did the rear passenger door, both bottom pieces on the rear windows and detailed and cleaned some of the areas I did yesterday and the day before.

All I have left is the rear curved part of the trim.

Re: My mods

looks great, Alber/t what do you think would be a best match for Brilliant Black, the satin or whatever you had earlier (gloss?). While I like the my brilliant black a lot one thing that bugs is that so many people have the same black GC. So I am trying to differentiate it a bit. Next up will be the Black vapor grill.

either color can work it all depends on whether you want a blend or a contrast. If you didn't want to black out the trim per se but you wanted to do something different you couls do something like this:

60"x120" Dark Chrome Black Mirror Vinyl Wrap Sticker Decal Sheet Bubble Free | eBay

That would probably give you a look like th trivalent chrome that comes on the High Altitude.

If you want to color match the brilliant black, I would do the black metallic vinyl, or even just gloss black.

While I originally liked the black gloss on the trim, it just looked to dark against my mineral gray. At least for my taste. I thought about matte but to me I think matte is a finger print magnet and kind of dull. So, I decided to go in between with satin and I love it. It's still dark but I like the sheen way better. Also, the satin vinyl seems to apply better than the gloss. With gloss I had way more wrinkles.

By the front air dam, do you mean the chrome piece on the lower bumper valance? If so, yes I did wrap mine in satin black but I have yet to install it. I need to remove my bumper again to do so, if I want to be secure. So it's held up great since I haven't installed it lol

yeah I plan on it, along with the front and rear.

I'll be taking it to a body shop at some point.

Re: My mods

Are you going to replace them with paintable ones or use the same ones. I asking cuz I was thinking off replacing them whit the srt replica but not sure if they will match the flares that I got. What would you recommend.

Originally I was going to replace them with the paintable kind but the shop I talked to a few months back said they could just paint the ones I have on. Even if I have it done this way and the paint isn't smooth like the body paint because of the texture, it doesn't look too bad because I have the plastic part of the roof rails painted that way and it doesn't look bad.

If you buy the srt skirts you'll need the other type of flares that go with them.

I don't have any pics. Just look up the srt jeep. Also there are other newer models that started using them too.

I've never really looked into them because I've never thought about changing mine to those.
