Re: My mods

Looks fantastic. Any problem removing the wood trim? I assume it pops off if you have some trim tools to help pry.

Thanks

Thanks... to remove the wood trim from the doors, you need to remove the whole door panel. The wood trim is held on to the panels by screws.

Re: My mods

Good to know, does the dash need to be removed as well for those pieces?

For the dash pieces you need to remove the radio bezel. Removing that one you will be able to easily take off the long piece on the passenger side. One screw holds that one in. You just need to take your time because its connected to the air vent.

To remove the one on the right of the steering column you need to unclip the plastic "ring trim" at the back of the steering colum. It wont come off. That one has one screw as well

To remove the one on the left of the steering wheel you also need to loosen or take off the panel under the steering wheel, where the lights switch are located. I didnt need to completely take mine off. I just took out all the screws and pop it out enough so i could get to the screw that holds the trim piece in place. Same thing with the air vent on this one.

Re: My mods

I have vinyl samples of a few colors so I decided to add these rally's on the dash.

Was a toss between this matte dark gray or matte red. Decided on the more subtle look plus it kind of matches my mineral gray.

Re: My mods

I stopped at smoothie king this morning and took this pic of my DRL's. Thought I'd post it since I never posted a pic of them.

Re: My mods

Decided to make some templates for the window trim. I only made the template for the curved sections.

Just have to wait for the vinyl to come in this week.

We'll see how it turns out.

Re: My mods

I 'm really liking all the mods you've done with you're Jeep apart from the 2 little rally's on the dash but the window trim blackout has really complimented the grey and gives it a real nice clean look.

Re: My mods

tastefully done! I was looking to color match my grill(white) & black/wrap chrome accents on mine, thanks for the post...definitely sold me on painting the grill!(I'm not fond of the black grill on white 2012 look)
