My new product, TUFF STEP

Hey Gang,

The new jeep inspired me to invent and develop a production hitch step: TUFF STEP! The product is powder coated aluminum, hitting the selves at Lowes this summer.

How much would you be willing to pay for the product? Would you prefer black or chrome plating?

Needs to be black, otherwise it will stick out like a sore thumb. Aren't there already numerous such items already available?

i like shin kracker better for the name. ill just look around the edges of highly populated parking lots for the free ones that people will heave across the lot when they bust their leg on them.

Re: My new product, TUFF STEP

Looks nice but I have always wondered who uses products like these. Only application I can see is loading ladders or kayaks onto a van or Suburban. With the GC, it would be very difficult to reach the back of the roof rack even when standing on this due to the slope of the rear glass. That said, I suppose there is a market since similar products already exist.

It definitely needs to be either polished or black. And personally I think it would look a bit better if it resembled a nerf bar more than a running board, but I know the market already has these around. Maybe you could make it from plastic and sell it cheaper? Aluminum seems pricey for this application. Just my $.02 - good luck with it.

I like a long ball instead. Makes a good spike for someone thinking of rear ending me.

Re: My new product, TUFF STEP

How much weight can it support? What is all the weight is point loaded on one end vs evenly distributed?

As far as color, I vote black.

How did you get around the existing Tuff Step branding that is already on the market?
