Need conformation ??????? Mirror cover swap out .

I found a decent price for a pair of brilliant crystal black base jeep grand cherokee Laredo mirror covers . Will they fit on my 2014 grand cherokee summit mirror housing . Mine has the heated mirrors exxx. It's makes no difference right ? I want the chrome one gone ?

Re: Need conformation ??????? Mirror cover swap out .

I just installed a pair of 2013 mirrors on my 2014 and i also swapped the covers, no problem. They are a PITA to remove until you find the right pattern.

There are 5 clips to release the cover, one at time, that need to be simultaneously released down and pushed out except tab 5, that one needs to be pushed up and out.

I had to do it 4 times(each side for the chrome and each side for the black) and I'd suggest this release pattern:

Passenger side: Start at the top inner(towards the body) clip and go clockwise releasing each tab until tab 5 needs to be pushed UP.

Drivers side: Start at the top inner(towards the body) clip and go anti-clockwise releasing each tab until tab 5 needs to be pushed UP.

Patience is the key, i got frustrated a few times, the first time it took me over 10 minutes, and by the 3rd cover it was super quick, under 2 minutes. Some tabs i had to use a lot of force, and thankfully i didn't break any tabs.
