Re: New Hid kit 6k 55w

I know you aren't the OP, but to the OP, all that extra light above the cutoff is called glare. The 55w will make it even worse.

I am going to try a little experiment. Its some thing we used to do when people would complain about parking lot lights were to bright.
I will post pics when its done.

Yeah... not happenen... can't do the whole epoxy silicon thing .
Properly is replacing the whole thing , which I will do sooner or later, until then I have a few ideas to try . If they work , then it will give others things to try. If not then no harm done

Re: New Hid kit 6k 55w

See persistence and patience pays off !

I managed to find a set of projectors on ebay for 105 ( with shipping), Had $40 in the paypal account and paid $65 from the ole bank account and all is good.

I still plan on trying a few things until they get here and will post the results.

Re: New Hid kit 6k 55w

That eBay projector kit absolutely sucks. Do not buy it light output is terrible. And for the hid kits most of the time with the blindness people put in 55 watt kits and do not aim the level down more. When I installed my hids years ago I made sure I aimed it down very low and had them for years and never been flashed. Now I have projectors oem wk projectors.

Re: New Hid kit 6k 55w

for the $64 bucks , I will give them a shot with the Hids from Xenondepot. plus I like the look , well except the 3 leds. I maybe able to change that when they get here. I dont know weather I will hook up the Halo's either ....

I think I have been flashed twice , once in a dense fog , once coming over a hill). and I have been behind State and local cops with no issues but like i said ,Mine are the 35 watt . I could probably turn mine down a bit more and reduce the glare more but I have some other Ideas I want to try first ,for fun

Re: New Hid kit 6k 55w

Look into the projector quality of those ebay kits. They are usually halogen projectors which diffuses the light differently than the HID projectors.
