Re: New molded running board

I love the look of the running boards but they seem to stick out kinda far. I wish I could find these in the United States. All the nice looking boards are not available here. Can you take a picture along side the vehicle to show how far they stick out from the tires. Thanks.

Re: New molded running board

I think the original intent of this thread was to discuss the actual Mopar running boards?

Right. Not much information about genuine Mopar running board. The only thing I found is this Mopar runningboard is designed both for Durango and Grand Cherokee. Same part number, but different instruction for installation.

Added bonus might be stopping door bangers in tight parking spaces....mine have saved my doors plenty of times. Fourteen year old vehicle and no door dings. Of course, hope that doesn't mean dings in the chrome edges. I think yours look great, btw.

Re: New molded running board

That looks pretty good. I'd like to see a real set in person.

Re: New molded running board

I've been considering the molded steps also, because my wife always complains when she's getting in that it's too high. (She drives a Prius, we all have our cross to bear.)

Does anyone know if the Mopar Molded steps are compatible with the molded splash guards? It looks like they taper and wouldn't interfere, but it's tough to tell from the photos, and my dealer doesn't stock them, it's a special order.

Re: New molded running board

I'm also in market for side steps. 4'10" wife having too much trouble getting in.

I'm also interested in seeing something from Mopar, few pictures of this installed would be nice - Running Board, Molded - 82212685AB | Mopar

Does Mopar offer the tube kind (nerf bars?). Not sure which kind looks better.

I tried talking to my parts department at Jeep and after about 30 mins and 2 guys trying to find stuff in the system I gave up and figured I'd have to search it myself. They said no tube bar type steps yet for 2014 from Mopar. 2014 has been out for a year almost? May have to look at aftermarket stuff and do it myself in the spring.

I bought these off ebay and even the dealership ask me about them cause they make a classier look but aggressive

Re: New molded running board

Those look interesting, similar to the ones that I saw from Mopar, but the picture wasn't that clear. It looks like the ones you have would be compatible with the molded Mopar splash guards too.
