First off I want to thank Scottina06 for mentioning in a thread that the 2015 SRT now comes with OEM LED fog lights. Until I saw that post I did not know that. He also gave me all sorts of pictures and info via PM that was very helpful. After determining that I think it would be a 100% plug and play swap I ended up biting the bullet and ordered two brand new Mopar LED fog lamps in an attempt to install them in my 2015 High Altitude. I know there are simple plug and play H11 kits available, but I tried that in my 2014 Summit and they were good, but I wanted to try something new that no one else has and in an attempt to keep things OEM. Just as I anticipated they are plug and play. Remove the old fog lamp housing, install the new one, and plug in the same H11 connector. DONE. First off I want to say the output and color far exceeded what I was expecting. These things make my stock halogen fog lamps look terrible. The new LED fogs have a very wide and intense beam that you can compare to the original in pictures below. I am also extremely happy with the color. I wanted a color that matched the OEM DRLs as closely as possible. These match color identically, but whats even better is on the wall color is approx 4300K which matches the HID headlights. So when looking at the car they appear to be about 6000K, or the same as the DRLs, but on the road they have a slightly warmer color temp that matches the 4300K HIDs. Perfect!
Now to the slightly bad news that I was not expecting. To my surprise I am getting the ever so common LED fog light flicker. I was not expecting that assuming that since these are OEM that the issue wouldn't exist. So unfortunately it looks like I will have to buy a plug and play H11 anti-flicker module. Should be an easy fix (I hope). Has anyone else cured the LED fog light flicker? and if so what method did you use? There are all sort of anti-flicker modules on ebay.
Update, I ended up just ordering the Putco H11 adapter kit from ebay. Looked to be the best quality kit and was about 40 bucks shipped.

Part numbers:
68228884AC (same for left and right) I paid about $340 shipped from allmoparparts.com. These should work on any model 2014+ WK2.

Now to the install. Overall pretty easy. Fog light access is good when you open up the wheel well liner. This can be done without removing the front wheels. Just turn them in for whichever side you are working on.
1. jack the front of the car up and turn the wheel.
2. using painters tap put a couple pieces of tape on the wall outlining the beam cutoff of the original halogen foglamps for aiming purposes later.
3. remove the 10mm bolt, twist and remove the plastic push pin, and cut off the two plastic rivets.
4. unplug the H11 fog light connector. There are 4 plastic tabs holding the fog lamp in place. Pry those out slightly with a flat head screw driver, then remove the lamp.
5. reinstall the new lamp pushing it straight in and ensuring that all tabs have seated correctly. You will also need to turn the new fog lamp on and twist slightly to ensure the beam pattern is perfectly horizontal.
6. re-install the wheel well cover using new plastic rivets. If you do not have those some people have successfully used re-usable push pins instead. I have rivets and a rivet gun so I went with that method.
7. Repeat on opposite side, then aim the fog lights so they are exact height between the two sides, and same height as the original fog lights using the taped line on the wall.

As mentioned above you will likely have to add some resistors or a plug and play H11 anti-flicker module. I think 2014 models will work fine, but something changed going into 2015 to where people are having LED fog light flicker issues.

Now onto the pictures! Enjoy!

Here are pictures of the housings. Also shows comparisons between the halogen H11 and new LED fog lamp.
Pictures don't really do them justice.

Headlight and fog lights on to compare color and output. Camera doesnt pick it up perfectly, but LED fog color on wall is identical to the 4300K HID headlights:

Full front shots showing different angles and light combos. As stated above when looking at the vehicle color matches OEM DRLs perfectly!

Here is a picture I just took here at work during the day to see how they look off. In person you can see the nice clear LED fogs sitting in there. Little different look.

Yes! I found the part number thanks to Scott a while back too. Wasn't ready to risk them not fitting on my HA though, so this is really great news. They look really sharp and all of the pictures and instructions are much appreciated. Please let us know when you get the flicker fixed.

Glad it worked out. Ive had these on my 14 SRT for almost 2 years. Not one flicker. I cant believe no one else saw my posts. I posted in all the led threads.

Yeah I honestly don't know how I missed that. That's something I would have for sure noticed a while back and would have taken interest in. At any rate they are awesome. Unfortunately I can't use them until I get the H11 anti-flicker modules. I ordered the Putco ones today and will be a simple plug in 5 minute job. That should do the trick!
I had plug and play LED fogs on my 2014 Summit with zero issues, but I have been seeing lots of posts saying for whatever reason this issue only affects the 2015 models due to changes in the electrical system. I will report back on when I receive those modules. I wonder what they do in the 2015 SRT that these exact same fogs don't cause flicker issues? Must all be in the software.
These even give the front end a slight modernization during the day when they are off. The lenses are bright and crystal clear and have a nicer and cleaner appearance instead of the old hazy looking projector.

They look fantastic man!!

I'm torn on what to do now?

I have some Phillips 6000k led fogs I can return (never installed)

And just purchased some hid osram 5500k hid bulbs

Would you keep the HIDs and just return the fogs and get these? Or return both and keep the 4300k HIDs and get the srt fog lamps?!!!

I wanted it to match, but also wanted a brighter headlight bulb too.

Thanks for doing all the leg work, looks fantastic

If you don't mind spending the money and having to do a little more work for the install I would say without a doubt go with the SRT LED fogs. They are incredible!
As far as the headlight bulbs that's up to you really. If you sell or return those that will recoupe some of the cost of the more expensive SRT LED fogs. Otherwise, the good thing is whichever headlight you go with whether it's keep the stock 4300k, or go with the osram 5500K, these SRT LED fogs will match either perfectly. Me personally, I'm happy with the output of the stock bulbs and will not be changing them, and they do match my new fogs very nicely.
Keep in mind if you change to any LED fog it looks like you'll have flicker issues IF you have a 2015. If you have a 2014 I think you will be fine without. If you have a 2015 search online or eBay for "H11 anti flicker" and you'll get plenty of results. Some less than 10 bucks, some as much as 70. I went with what looked like the nicest one which was from Putco and it was like 41 shipped.

Good info. So we know for a fact the temp on the fogs to be 4300k? I am returning the 5500ks so I can have uniformity. I will be getting these soon!

Also can you send the item number on eBay for what you picked? If they worked I plan to follow suit

Thanks a bunch!

Well the exact color temp is hard to say. When looking at the front of the vehicle they appear to be 6000kish, as they match the LED DRLs perfectly. However when you look at the actual output like on a wall or the street it's closer to the warmer 4300k of the stock headlights. That's what's so great about these as they are designed to be visibly appealing and functional. I would imagine a Osram 5500k HID bulb would also be an excellent match. So either way you can't go wrong.

Thanks man!! Greatly appreciated. Might keep them after all. We will see when we get them. I fell like I just dropped like a grand on lights lol

Led fogs $370
HIDs 250
Vleds brake lights 130
Interior $30
Reverse 100

Not the worst investment but damn that's like a decent set of srt replica wheels lol

Yeah they are high but you also got people spending $160 for those phillips Xtreme utiliron LED things that only put out 700 lumens each which is only half of the 1350 lumens that the stock halogens put out. At least you get usable light out of these SRT LEDs and total plug and play (on the 2014s anyway) just plug in the H11 no spaghetti, warts, modules all over the place or fans, just clean install plug it in, done. $316 shipped is pricey but for an OEM solution that I don't need to think about finding an acceptable fog light upgrade anymore worth it to me lol. I bet these same ones show up on the summits and HAs for 2017.

yeah color and actual usable light has always been a concern for me with all the aftermarket junk but the thing to remember about the OEMs is they put them on the SRT at the factory which also have 4300k HID headlights so whatever they have come up with has already been scrutinized and tested by the designers. sure everyone will have different opinions on everything but if its good enough for SRT then its probably good enough for me

No I don't :D my Summit was sold in stock form. Not that I had much done to it anyway, but the things I did do I kept.m or removed and sold. With exception to the paint matched lower skirts, I kept everything...weathertechs, SRT pedals, illuminated summit sills, V3 triton brake lights etc. The things I have done to my Summit are all plug and play items that are easily removable. Oh and btw, I had my Summit for almost a year. Yeah not long, but also not a week lol.

Do these turn off like normal. I know on my 2014 with hid fogs when I turned off one turns off before the other. Haven't got a chance to install on my 2015 yet. May look into these and use parts of my hid kit for other car that has a bad ballast.

Great news guys. My Putco H11 anti-flicker modules arrived today and I installed them. The fogs now work flawlessly! I couldn't be happier! I did have to open up the wheel well liner again as I wanted to secure the modules properly and zip tie the extra wiring. That's easy enough though and didn't take much time. Of course, more pictures...

New modules. Quality pieces and obviously simple to install.

Module installed.

Closeup of fog light on.

Front shots. Funny thing the LED DRLs are on in these pics, but being LED the camera doesn't catch them right. One picture the Jeep is winking ;-)

Sorry, no offense but what does that ebay auction for an HID kit have to do with my thread? Maybe you thought you were in another thread?

---------- Post added at 05:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:16 PM ----------

do you have images of the finished result for all the lights you put on?
and can you share the links and build specifications so i can follow as well =)

Thanks!

I do but they are in different threads lol. I will have to update my progress thread in the members show off section. For now though you will have to go through all my threads to see everything. Probably easiest to just search my username for threads I've started.

This is where its at right now as far as lighting:
-2015 OEM SRT LED fog lights with Putco H11 anti-flicker module
-VLED V3 Triton rear brake and turn bulbs
-Putco Plasma 921 and 7440 reverse bulbs
-Superbrightleds 194 "natural white" canbus interior bulbs (on order)

other mods:
-suspension lowering links
-tint matched front door windows
-Bora 1.25" spacers (on order)
-weathertech liners throughout

future mods:
-chrome window trim wrapped gloss black

I cant think of anything else. Once I'm done with the stuff on order and the window trim wrap I think I'm going to be extremely happy with it. As of now I cant think of anything else I would want to do.

Humm that's not right, there should be total of two. One for each fog light. Sounds like they goofed and only sent one.

Who tinted your front windows??
Place in Naperville on Ogden called ztech. I used to always go to a guy that runs his own tinting business called qualitywindowtints, but he always messed something up on the first try. Enough of that, so I tried ztech and the work was FLAWLESS. I was very happy with their work and service.

This is a lot of work for something a plug and play aftermarket kit could accomplish. Especially since you still have to use cancellers this mod is way more work than its worth. No point if it's not actually plug and play.

To each their own I guess. I read about so many different solutions and even though this solution was more expensive it appears to be the most authentic. I also like the way the bulbs are designed rather than having a projector it's more of a clear mirrored surface. Yes the others look bright looking straight on, but if the usable light is not there then you are officially over paying for something that doesn't perform.

I don't have mine in hand yet (5-10 days still for shipping), when I install them I will give a more honest opinion. It's tough to defend something I don't have yet.

I see both sides here...I really dig the usage of OEM housings/LED's. That is sweet!

I know HID's put out a lot more light in compassion to any LED "bulb" (NOT LED bar haha).

HID's get hot, and the OEM swap is expensive and the PNP LED's have resistors or some box in-line with with wiring. Options are great!

For the $140 I have in these Phillips H11's, I am very happy with the light output...again, options are good!! Pics below are of ONLY fogs (w/ halos and LED strip, no HL)
