you in Canada or something?

n/m I see it says you're in NY. That's odd, It doesn't do that from the factory so how did you do it? I don't really care either way so I wouldn't do it myself, but just wondering how your domestic WK2 does that.

Really? Did you do anything to make them do that or were they always like that even when you had the halogen fogs?

Just had a thought on the diameter thing. Just a guess... Jeep made a specification for the bulb and sourced it out to different supplier's??? End of the day, it still works great!

Re: New OEM 2015 SRT LED fog lights installed in High Altitude. Pictures and install!

^^^ all WK2 models list them as "premium" fog lights. Even base model Laredos show them as premium. So I dunno maybe the regular Overland just has a smaller lens version of the fogs. I believe the manufacturer is all the same though. Myotek is the company who made both the new SRT LED fogs and the original halogen ones that came out of my HA.

The access to the headlights are not any better from below. The access panel was of no use to me. Maybe others but for me it was simple

Disconnect battery
Remove pcm connection for extra space
Twist cap
Rotate lock holding bulb
Wiggle loose
Disconnect harness
Reverse steps

Pass side
Remove air box (very simple)
Repeat steps on this side

Aside from my hands being scraped up it took me about 25-30 minutes including battery and removal and install of oem parts.

Off topic but this is NOT necessary at all. I have swapped the bulbs on my Jeep at least 5 times now and never once have I had to remove the PCM. Yes, you have limited space on the passenger side to work with - very limited. Require some careful handling of the bulb to get it down there and plugged in, but it can be done - and I'm not a very small person. You can just gradually pull on the bulb and unplug it that way - the connection won't break, but try to pull on the connection itself more-so than the bulb just to be safe. Driver side does require airbox removal but that takes 2 seconds.

Biggest PITA is lining up the bulb into the hole. You want to be careful not to damage the quartz capsule, or the ceramic insulation & return wire. On top of that, your metal tabs on the projector that hold the bulb in place can be slightly bent or out of alignment causing several attempts to get it in place. Driver side you can peer into the housing, passenger side you might want to use a camera.

I agree, can be done..but for first timers..no
Way to easy to break the bulb or bend a clip that holds the bulb in. Just my opinion

Re: New OEM 2015 SRT LED fog lights installed in High Altitude. Pictures and install!

So interesting discovery. Plug n play with this mod for me began and ended at plugging in the power connector (thank God that was compatible). My install took over 5 hours. Why? Because the way the fogs were mounted on my June 2014 SRT build was completely different than anyone has posted in this thread (even Scott's '14 SRT). My fog bracket was mounted with 5 bolts that attached to the bumper and the SRT LED strip. No 4 easy pop tabs/clips existed.

I almost thought I was SOL and very upset because these are a fantastic mod. Well I'll be damned, I pulled the front bumper to get a better look at my options. I removed the fog lights from their actual brackets (old and new) and looked how I could make the LED fogs fit the old bracket. Over 2 hours later with a dremel, and I won. I lost the capability to adjust the lights, but thankfully they are spot on where I put them (and I made it a very tight fit so they aren't going anywhere).

Pictures to follow tomorrow. Not only did I have an awful time with that, but also with the BlackOps front splitter... another nightmare. All in, I probably spent 7 hours or so on two mods that should've taken less than an hour. My body is tired, so to bed I go.
