Then take that out of the $300ish spent on the OEM SRT fogs and we are talking a $150 difference. That was a relatively minor difference I was willing to take. Just look at my wall comparison shots above. You can stick any type of bulb you want in that halogen fog light...LED, HID, whatever, it will never have the ability to have the same output as these OEM fogs.
As far as HIDs in the fogs...the problem with that is the light up time that it takes HID when turning the bulbs on. Not only that but the wear and tear turning those systems on and off puts on the system IMO does not make them suitable for fog light usage. For example on my night commutes I am constantly turning my high beams on and off which means the fogs are going on and off. By the time the HID fogs fully warm up they are already going back off lol. That would probably kill the bulbs or ballasts after a couple years. HID systems also have a lot of crap to go along with them. Ballasts needing mounting, extra wires, maybe even an entire harness so you don't kill your electrical system. With these fogs there is nothing extra! Super clean install and incredible results!
Also I kinda see these as saving me money in the long run, LEDs are a rapidly changing technology so todays cutting edge $160 Philips 700 lumen aftermarket bulb or whatever else is next years junk and there will be another a little bit better $160 one to replace it which many enthusiast types will have to have and buy but it still probably wont be to the fit/performance of the OEM and then continue to rinse and repeat. With the OEM I know I wont ever be changing it again that's that and done. so spend a little more now or keep playing the aftermarket drop in game every time a shiny new promise hits the market and probably end up spending more in the long run. I have tried many an aftermarket H11 LED and all I have to say about those is thank god all you have to do is toss the box onto the front porch and amazon comes and gets it.

yeah color and actual usable light has always been a concern for me with all the aftermarket junk but the thing to remember about the OEMs is they put them on the SRT at the factory which also have 4300k HID headlights so whatever they have come up with has already been scrutinized and tested by the designers. sure everyone will have different opinions on everything but if its good enough for SRT then its probably good enough for me

Great job James!!!

IDK why you mod your vehicles though since you keep them for like a week. You end up giving the next owner a modded Jeep. LMAO

No I don't my Summit was sold in stock form. Not that I had much done to it anyway, but the things I did do I kept.m or removed and sold. With exception to the paint matched lower skirts, I kept everything...weathertechs, SRT pedals, illuminated summit sills, V3 triton brake lights etc. The things I have done to my Summit are all plug and play items that are easily removable. Oh and btw, I had my Summit for almost a year. Yeah not long, but also not a week lol.

Do these turn off like normal. I know on my 2014 with hid fogs when I turned off one turns off before the other. Haven't got a chance to install on my 2015 yet. May look into these and use parts of my hid kit for other car that has a bad ballast.

Yes ofcourse they do. They are factory OEM units. Would be a bit funny if they turned off at different times

Well I don't have the anti-flicker modules installed yet (they arrive tomorrow), but I fully expect them to go on/off as they were designed to. When the vehicle is off the LED fogs function as they should which I how I was able to take pictures, its when its on that they flicker and will not stay on.

Re: New OEM 2015 SRT LED fog lights installed in High Altitude. Pictures and install!

Great news guys. My Putco H11 anti-flicker modules arrived today and I installed them. The fogs now work flawlessly! I couldn't be happier! I did have to open up the wheel well liner again as I wanted to secure the modules properly and zip tie the extra wiring. That's easy enough though and didn't take much time. Of course, more pictures...

New modules. Quality pieces and obviously simple to install.

Module installed.

Closeup of fog light on.

Front shots. Funny thing the LED DRLs are on in these pics, but being LED the camera doesn't catch them right. One picture the Jeep is winking ;-)
