H11 halogen vs hid temps aren't much different... And pre 2014 you had to worry about melted housing not 2014+.

Plus you have led bulbs if you were even worried about temps and on and off burning them out. Pretty sure you have no idea what you are talking about and are just reaching at justifying your retarded spending.

Yep reaching. Didn't say anything about LEDs. Was talking about HIDs.

I have every single light replaced on my jeep. As well as my last 3 or 4 cars. I put HIDs in my Audi fog lights and melted my drivers side housing. You don't know the exact temp of the bulbs so you are just assuming like every other ass on here that jumps on google and doesn't have any actual proof of anything. Keep telling me what you think and not what you know.

It's my money, and my jeep. Till you start making my payment you can stop gawking.

I'm not gawking ur car looks like every other jeep on the road... Nothing to look at.

Wow basing ur experience from audi housing cool, and led's are a viable option so you can discount them from the argument. Do whatever you want but it's a clearly not an effective mod for the money...

LOL. I work at a performance shop on the side that builds 8 second 4 cylinder cars and your going to sit here and tell me about effective for the money. Come on man, it's a freaking daily driven jeep. It's not my old gt500 or 700 awhp EVO we are talking about. It's something I can pop my wife and kids into and just drive somewhere. Tell me again what an effective mod would be on the jeep? Oh maybe I should buy a set of mufflers for it for $xxx.xx and pick up 3 hp if I'm lucky. Great investment. Or maybe wrap my grill in black 3m. Dont come at me like this because my jeep looks like everyone else's, it's a jeep bro. It's a freaking family hauler. I didn't buy it to be different.

You're missing the point. The op even stated this mod is more than it's worth in reality in the original post but wanted to use oem parts.

This mod all made sense price wise until he discovered u have to use some shit Chinese cancellers just like you would aftermarket so what's the point? The aftermarket options are under 100 bucks and require 70% less work to install with compatible results in color and output.

I agree there's not much you can do to grand cherokees but this mod killed itself as soon as it required non oem parts to function properly. Is the light output good? I'm sure it is!

Working for a performance shop must be fun. I've owned plenty of high HP cars as well and do miss the individuality that comes along with the large after markets for performance vehicles. (e60 m5 with full bolt ons and a built/rotated 600hp STi to name some)

All I'm saying is this mod is not really worth it.

H11 Halogens are as hot as 55w HIDs. So 35w's are really not different (in H11 flavor) different bulbs definitely have different results

Dude, really Skunkd?? How is every post you get involved in turn into a my dick is bigger than your dick thread or how your opinion means more than anyone elses opinion?
Let me clarify a few things... This mod is 100% plug and play. Remove old fog housing, install new one, plug in harnesses, done. What's not plug and play about it?
Very easy to do, and the output is much better than the LED kit I had installed in the halogen projectors in my 2014 Summit. Significantly wider beam. Plus the other benefit is the color is a much nicer match than the aftermarket kit I had.
I believe the anti-flicker module is only required for 2015+ models. I think the 2014 would not require them. Another reason I didn't want an aftermarket LED kit is most LED bulbs have ridiculous huge and heavy heat sinks on the back of them. Lastly, looks a little more modern than the old school halogen projector. After having these installed I would never go back to some plug and play LED kit and have absolutely no regrets spending a whopping $160 bucks more than a plug and play H11 kit...and never even would consider HID in the fogs.
Sorry you feel the way you do about this mod, but it does take a lot to please you lol. I thought for sure you would like this one....nope.

Petey, don't let skunkd get to you or make you second guess doing this mod. You will not be disappointed trust me!!

Re: New OEM 2015 SRT LED fog lights installed in High Altitude. Pictures and install!

I see both sides here...I really dig the usage of OEM housings/LED's. That is sweet!

I know HID's put out a lot more light in compassion to any LED "bulb" (NOT LED bar haha).

HID's get hot, and the OEM swap is expensive and the PNP LED's have resistors or some box in-line with with wiring. Options are great!

For the $140 I have in these Phillips H11's, I am very happy with the light output...again, options are good!! Pics below are of ONLY fogs (w/ halos and LED strip, no HL)

The E60 M5's are fun cars!

Both owners of the shop have new f80 and f82 M3/M4 both making over 650 to the wheels and our M4 is under the knife with a full build already and a huge single turbo. Will probably make between 850-1000 depending on if they get the port injection dialed in on Q16.

It was featured on bimmerpost for being the quickest and fastest trapping M4 currently out there

Should run 9.50s this year with all the new mods.

But back on to topic I see your argument and it's nice that there are multiple options out there. It's all about preference..

I am not seeing these on allmoparparts.com. Do you have a link possibly? I see the part# 68228884AC on other sites but they all list Chrysler 300 2015.

There is not a whole lot of these things stocked out there it seems they are kind of thinly stocked but they will back order them just takes longer. I ordered from the place below and then canceled as I found them somewhere else that got them in quicker. So they have two of them in route that will be ready to ship on Wednesday if you want to try them, I just traded emails with them earlier. Their price is $304 If you use promo code "DodgeForum5%" Shipping was $8 for my location so was $312 shipped. 68228884AC

Also as long as the part number is correct you are fine, they probably use the same ones on the Chrysler 300s
