We were all hoping that these lights would be fabulous and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here with cash on hand to drop on something like this in an instant. TLF has a captive audience here and they screwed up by shipping out a half-finished product. If there are certain procedures to be followed to ensure a successful install, those should be clearly outlined in an installation manual or at the very least broken down into steps via email.

Although pinetar might have waited for the whole thing to play out before posting on here, ultimately what we have is not a customer service, R&D, or shipping issue. This is a Quality Control issue, ie a non-functioning experimental unit was sold as a finished product. If it was always intended to be a guinea-pig, try-this-out-then-send-it-back-to-us kind of deal, then why did they initially charge $800? That price to me sets the expectation of a finished product, even if with some glitches. Not something with glaring visual defects that doesn't even turn on.

I gave TLF the benefit of the doubt the whole time and even after this was willing to pay the ~$1000 they would have asked for these lights, IF they could bring something to market that was functional and polished. Based on their decision to ax the Jeep project entirely, I'm guessing they were nowhere near that stage.

Bad customer service can quickly hurt any company, especially a startup like TLF.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Hi -

I see your post about the complete replacement of the headlight housings ..

Can we speak about the cost/where you got it/how difficult.

Really need to do something ASAP, I think I want the same as you .. looking to replace the entire housings .. and upgrade to HID's/Xenon's.

Any help/advice would be MOST appreciated.

Do you have a link to the company?

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Mine should be installed at the beginning of next month, but they are by no means even nearly the same as they were delivered from TLF.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

I'm still trying to get mine installed, lights from TLF and the harness from TLF that they got from project retro. Plug and play harness not so plug and play. I've had a tech tear vec down twice to install still no turn signals, markers or high beams.

Damn. It's way worse than I even thought. Sorry to hear about the troubles.

Hoping my second install goes a little better, but I have higher hopes this time considering they've completely redone every component, including the harness.
