Everyone is entitled to it... and I hate the gap right now but love the lines that it gives my SRT. But I would rather deal with the gap until I can find a solution than install a 2014 front end... I am hoping to somehow work with someone who does 3d printing in hopes to figure out a solution.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Good work guys.

I think it's worth the small gap that's only noticeable from a certain angle. The new generation lights especially compliment the SRT. If someone could fab up something witha 3D printer, that'd be a great solution.

And my headlights are taking a while to finish up. But I told the shop to take their time because they've been slammed with business...if anyone still cares at this point.

So these came in the other day, took almost a month to get here from Hong Kong, they are meant as "eye brows" for 14 and up but I used them to try n cover up the gap under the headlights, not sure if I'm liking the chrome yet, maybe have them painted body color or something... What do you gap haters think?

You need to at least get those color matched to the cars paint. The chrome looks horrendous.

Im willing to try them and paint them to see how they look... Has potential! I tried mustang part and is a great match but its too short in length.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Not to add fuel to the fire but I'd like to respond to a few posts in here to clear things up with TLF. FYI - I'm not associated with them, nor do I work with them.

The custom srt headlights that I hired them to make came out flawless. Meaning, the craftsman ship was superb, there were no chips/scratches/blemishes on the lenses, they were sealed 100%, and I've never had a problem (with the PHYSICAL lights).

The issue that I, and others have faced (even Jeep_Addicted - the awesome JeepGarage wiring guru), deals with WIRING. This is not a simple plug and play kit like all the available aftermarket xenon HIDs. This is a complete retrofit that involves a lot of electrical connections. Feel free to message Jeep_Addicted, and he will attest to the complexity. As dumb as this sounds its a jeep/wiring issue.

In terms of installing the lights, I am certain that most shops would have no idea where to start, unless you brought it to an experienced mechanic or custom car shop. I personally have no knowledge of anything electrical and it took me like 6+ lloooonnnnggggg hours to install them.

Is this due to TLF? No, because they worked on the headlights not the harness. The main issue here deals with the wire harness, not the quality of the physical headlights that are made for their customers. TLF clearly stated that they were not creating the harness, as they found someone that had done them in the past. It just turns out that the person had lowered their quality of work.

The guys at TLF still made things right, even though it wasn't their fault... Again, they make the headlights not the harnesses.

thats all!
1. Guinea pigs get the cool stuff first and at nice discounts. I wouldn't go to RIPP superchargers and say - "yo, I want a faster Jeep but I don't want to put any money down... but make it happen. If it works I'll pay you!" Does that make sense? My IP lawyers would shit themselves if I said that to them.

2. TLF did a great job on my lights and I'd use them again without hesitation. Send me a PM when there is another local Jeep meet and I'll go so you can see what mine look like. Then you'll say - "ok... yes I want them!"

2 quick points:

I called these guys and asked about the modification. They do NOT create or have a custom harness (this was a few months ago). Everything is spliced into your OEM/Factory wiring. I don't want that done to my truck. Additionally, I would never leave my car with a company called Cookie Monsta Customs, even if they changed their names to something more professional.

Glad everything worked out for the guy that hired them. Your choice of spending $700 to have it installed v.s. $300-350 for a wiring harness and learning how to DIY. I'm proud to say I was able to do it myself

Mine are the same. They use the same material that The Retrofit Source Inc uses. Basically nothing can get in or out of these things, which is something you want giving the amount of money invested.

I wish I could've said the same about mine. I tried to look past the sloppy job they did with adhering the LED halo with exposed metal wiring, but it looked terrible up close.

Okay, but that's not how they advertised it to me personally. They stated a few times they were "plug and play", otherwise I never would have bit in the first place.

They told me "any knowledgeable auto shop should have no problem installing them" and I took them to a custom auto paint/suspension/lighting company that tried everything with no luck. Again, not what they advertised to me personally.

I was never told they weren't the ones who made the harness either. I assumed it was all fabricated by them, in house. Still, not advertising the specifics very well, to me at least.

Gonna have to say it was their fault at the end of the day, yet I was extremely grateful they did the right thing, for me. But as I already said, they don't get a pat on the back for doing that. Any company should do the same and be forthright about the product from the get-go.

That's just business Like all the stereo places in NY that do tint. "Oh yea, we have years of experience installing tint. 100% guarantee, blah bla, we do it all." And they ALL have some random guy come in to do the installation. When something goes wrong, the shop is blamed not the random guy
