Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Looks great and would appreciate more pics once you have the product in hand, especially of the fit and finish. $800 and you have to provide them with OEM halogen lights? Did you buy an extra set or took the ones off your Jeep?

No need to ship them your own lights, as they have tons of sets in stock for all kinds of cars. That was the part that finally convinced me, as I wouldn't need to be without my own lights in the meantime because it's my daily driver.

Like I said, so much more cost effective and assuring than the OEM Bi-Xenon upgrade, compared to what I've heard about other's experiences with it so far.

That sounds sweet, so it's 800 without exchanging your stock lights then. Just wondering in case you sell the car down the line, better to switch the stocks back in and sell the lights separately.

Waiting for pics so please post up when you get them!

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Headlights came in a couple of days ago, but I won't have time to install them until later next week, hopefully by Friday.

I'd take some pics of them too, but there's not much to show because they're all wrapped up in plastic and I'm not removing it until installation time.

They look good though, but definitely not perfect or nearly as nice as some OEM housings would have looked. But for that price, I'm willing to sacrifice the quality for some function and they're 10x better than I could've done if I tried myself.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

More pics? What's not perfect about them? What components did you use?

So it's just $800 for the headlights, or is that the whole package, including ballasts, bulbs, and harness.

Do the LEDs off when the turn signals are on?

Did the shop cut off the clear lens, or were they able to separate it without cutting.

Give up some details man! LOL.

As I already said, I don't have anymore pics of the headlights the way you guys will like to see them, with the lights on. They are currently wrapped in plastic and don't photograph well at all this way. I'm not unwrapping them until install so I don't have to worry about scratching them, so it'll have to wait. Sorry.

I'm not entirely pleased with the fit and finish being as clean as I'd like, but it's negligible considering the price and not being able to see the details once they're installed. Components used were listed in the first post. (FXR projectors / 35w Morimoto system). The price included everything I need to get them working, aside from the turn signal bulbs that I'll pull from my current housings.

And you'll have to contact TLF yourself to see what they'll offer you. As I already said too, this was a deal we worked out through email and it was the first set they've done. So prices and options are up in the air as far as other builds outside of mine. No idea what they'll charge for everyone else.

According to them, the LEDs will stay on all the time, regardless of turn signal on/off. That may be an option, but I wanted them to function that way.

No idea how they achieved what they did. Looks like they baked or cut the housings and pried them open and then resealed.
