But I think this local shop is going to do something far better than I imagined. Although, I may very well be close to the cost of the OEM bi xenon mod at that point.

I think that other place owes you money before we turn their Instagram lives a living hell!

That's definitely not what I want. Even though I'm frustrated, I don't need this turning into a shi* throwing contest.

The guys at TLF have already responded to my email from yesterday saying they will fully refund my money and I can keep the lights. They also said it was probably an easy fix and they may have not had the polarity correct...except they tried everything in their capability so I'm sure that wasn't it. Regardless, they deserve a chance to make better on the build as it was the first set of these they've done, but I'd think the harness would be resolved if they already work on the OEM mod at this point.

Anyway, I should've not jumped the gun so quickly yesterday and said some of those things before they had a chance to respond, which I feel bad for. So don't completely disregard them yet. So far, they've responded the best that they could with the situation.

Sounds like they did you right in the long run. Stinks the lights were not functional.

Well at least they are going to make it right for the mess up. It sounded like they were not being helpful to you.

Well I have to say they were for the most part very responsive to my emails and requests.

But they ultimately made me feel uneasy as soon as I saw the boxes on my doorstep with no tracking info being sent to me prior to that. I've been burned quite a bit lately with shipping problems and I expect a product that I spent this much on to be cared for as such. And then the quality issues that could've been worked out prior to them being sent would be been resolved easily if they listened to my request to keep me updated with process photos, as these were the first ones being done and it was visually a shot in the dark.

So all of this kind of accumulated into my frustration now with the failed install being the cherry on top. So I think my concern and frustration has been well warranted.

They could have easily sent you tracking number(s). It takes all but a second through email. I mean they have time to post instagram vids of doing snow donuts with their special Laredo fitted with the SRTs. and a gopro

You buy lights and put down a good dime, and you don't even get notice of when the s++t ships?

Shady as hell. You have every reason to be pissed even after whatever apology they offer to clear their name.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Just glad they are going to refund my money so I'm not entirely broke at the end of this build. What a headache.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread. I was just about to pull the trigger on a set of these... I guess we can all put our pitchforks down for now... But keep us posted.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Wow thanks for taking one for the team here pinetar. I'm glad they're taking responsibility by refunding you, but you really have to wonder how such a product ever left their hands into those of a customer. To send you a product with obvious visual defects (wire holding the halos in place, really?) that doesn't even function (are they claiming they worked when they sent you those halo pictures?) leads me to believe that either they have no QC at all, or knowingly sent you a non-functioning product.

Both scenarios are quite concerning, especially when their website has the lights for sale, but for several 100 dollars more than what you paid. I guess you got a guinea pig 'discount.'

Please keep us posted on what the local shop can do for you. Maybe at the end of it all they will have some new customers with cash to burn (tax season) and no other viable options out there. Would certainly be a fitting reward for the three hours they gave you at no charge.
