Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Yep, also others have said, you need to disable your drls.

Other than that, it's a straight forward install. You have a simple ballast and harness.

Concerning the Morimoto ballasts, they did have some bad ballasts that wouldn't ignite on the first try. This was about a year ago, hopefully they got that shit fixed by now. I have set of those bad ballasts.

I went with Xenon Depot ballasts, their harness and cancellors and haven't had a single problem.

I was hoping you had better pictures of the lens. I wanted to know if they had to cut the housing lens off,to remove it. Or they were able to heat it up and remove it without cutting. If all it takes it just more heat, I'm tempted to order a spare headlight and try to retrofit again.

I don't have any better pictures showing the seam they sealed back up, but it looks like they cut it to me.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

My order came in, took a few extra days since I had to contact shipping company as they sent to my apartment with no apartment number and not my job as requested. Got the lights, not a great job at dealing them back together, hope the Florida heat doesn't destroy the Glue/caulking they used. In the box is lights with harnesses and remote for LED lights. Get bumpers off wired up headlights in, and nothing works but low beam. Call TLF leave two messages and a email 4-5 hrs ago still waiting on email or call back. Not so happy

I think this seals their fate. Sorry to hear the bad luck with them.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights

Damn, that really sucks. I was hoping yours would come together more smoothly than mine, but I guess not.

Definitely keep us posted.

*Also noticed that the product they used to seal it up was stuck all over the plastic wrapped around my headlamps when I opened the box. The place redoing the lights for me is going to use something better because I wasn't feeling good about it keeping moisture out based on how tacky it had already become.

Re: New Upgraded Headlights
