Newbie!!! Aftermarket HIDs!!! Need Help!!

OK, this is my first Jeep. I just installed aftermarket HIDs and after a while they turned off. First the left one was turning off and now both of them. What gives??? Are there any software issues I'm not aware of???

Yes!!! Also in the fog lights, but the fog lights aren't turning off.

Re: Newbie!!! Aftermarket HIDs!!! Need Help!!

Sometimes a relay isn't needed for the fogs but from what I know, they're a must on the WK and it sounds like you'll need them on the Wk2, too.

Re: Newbie!!! Aftermarket HIDs!!! Need Help!!

If you had a place put them in for you, take it back to the place and tell them to fix it. And yes, you will need a relay harness. I put a set in a few weeks ago and I actually need a second relay because the one light flickers a little.

Re: Newbie!!! Aftermarket HIDs!!! Need Help!!

Make sure that the HID kit they sold you is CANBUS compliant. Regular run of the mill kits will not work on a WK2.

Oh, I only ask because its illegal in most states in the US and its pretty inconsiderate to other drivers. But enjoy that lighting.
