Nufinish wax

2015 Overland - just washed, clay bar'd and waxed with NuFinish. Highly recommend it! ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1441449315.308459.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1441449329.238549.jpg

Re: Nufinish wax

Looks good man. Clay barring is time consuming but makes all the difference in the world. That hood sure has a nice shine to it.

Re: Nufinish wax

I just did the same yesterday. Then to my dismay, I read the NuFinish bottle and it says "car polish, contains NO wax". This is my first new car in over 15 years so I want to protect the investment. Do I need to wax?

NuFinish says nope. Just use the car polish once a year to protect the car finish. Thougths??

Re: Nufinish wax

I don't use Nu Finish but read up on the information posted on their website.

Car Wax vs Car Polish | Nu Finish - Nufinish

They're calling this a polish because it leaves the vehicle with a glossy finish, it seems to me it may be more like a sealant. You don't NEED to put a coat of wax on your vehicle but it will give the paint depth. The polish is going to make it look wet. A good carnauba wax will help make those flakes pop and should last 3-4 months. I like the extra layer of protection and really enjoy the deep wet look that a combination of both provide.

It will soon be time for me to put a couple of coats of sealant down to protect the GC for the winter months.

I just stick with Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 or Opti-Gloss. Suppose to be good for 2 years.

I've used Nu finish on my Jeep which is also white but like Liquid Glass much better. Do NOT get the Nu finish on any black trim, roof rail, mirrors etc. It will stain it white. Looks great!

Re: Nufinish wax

I went with Zaino. I've been using Meguiars for years but a car collector friend of mine had me try Zaino products on my white Jeep GC.

Very pleased.......

Re: Nufinish wax

Big fan of Adams Wax. Good stuff.
I also run a synthetic glass sealant in my paint. Lasts up to 2 years. Good stuff
