Re: OEM Jeep Slush floor mats not very good :/

UPDATE****

Just found out that after July 2015, Jeep made some alterations to the floor on the grand cherokee. The front two mats were affected. Weather tech has products in progress, and should be done at the end of February.

This is a possible reason on why my two front Jeep Slush mats fit horrible.

My Jeep was mad 11/2015

Thanks for looking!

Re: OEM Jeep Slush floor mats not very good :/

I have had the Mopar mats in 2 vehicles since 2011. The have their flaws but I love them. It's annoying that they changed the holes on the passenger side and that they don't account for the rails in the cargo area, but that has not caused either on those mats to move around in my case.

My mom has the Weathertechs in her Explorer and I am not a fan. I know the taller lip helps keep liquid inside the mat, but I think it's too tall and I don't like how it looks. I also don't like the harder plastic. I think it looks and feels cheap. I almost tore a groin when I went to adjust the seat in her car and my foot slipped on the slippery wet plastic.

I love my weathertechs. So easy to clean. I do have the mopar cargo mat because I like the more "sticky" feel of them that keeps things from sliding around, but they are a pain to clean having those in my front cabin staring at them would drive me insane. Weathertechs are totally worth the money. Have had them since day 1 and my carpets look like the day I brought the car home.

i really like them. they fit great. the only fault is that if you neglect to shake em out every once in a while the dirt can start to overflow a bit. on the other hand I don't like the weathertech. posted before, the silly stuck on decal always comes off, and the fit wasn't good on my two previous vehicles. mid year vehicle change kinda stuff, I imagine.....

Waiting on the WeathTech Laser Fit mats here too. Had talked to CS at WeatherTech. It's true about a change in the floor area. I guess they need to get their hands on a '16 to size them out. Our rear WeatherTech mat fit right in from our '14 GC Summit.

Re: OEM Jeep Slush floor mats not very good :/

My stock slush mats were free. After negotiations are done for the vehicle I say "BTW, throw in the full factory slush mats". For free, I'm not complaining. But if I had to actually pay for them I would spring for the Huskys. They look real nice.

I love my $40 mopar mats since they are rubber... just wish that side are tad taller than current they are...

Re: OEM Jeep Slush floor mats not very good :/

I printed my return label earlier and put them back in the mail. I don't feel like waiting for the new weather techs. I purchased a set of $9.99 at Walmart just to hold me off. I am going to try out the husky liners now. They look nice and I prefer the wrap around feature that the jeeps do not offer. My son is three and kicks his feet all over the place. I even bought kick shields for him. He constantly kicks my back seat so that problem is solved.

Update # 2

Decided to go with the husky liners. Reviews are fantastic. Price is high, but I really like that there were literally no negative reviews.

Also the rear goes way up under the front seat compared to jeep ones, that's a big deal for me too!
