Ever since they unveiled the Offroad Edition "concept" Jeep at SEMA I've been drooling over the images. I know this isn't a production model but every time I see a picture my mind starts thinking of ways to make my WK2 look more like that special edition. I love the lack of chrome and flash, the matte black trim pieces. Since the concept vehicles all seem to be white or silver, I ran the model through photoshop to see what that dark grille would look like on my Dark Charcoal Laredo.
Here is mine. I still like the chrome though. I think it's a nice contrast. I never thought of painting the hooks I might do that in yellow or something.
yeah no sanding or anything and it peels right off so its perfect if you've got a lease like myself, although i would recommend using a plasti dip primer because i had to redo mine and use the primer so it would stick better.
I've been addicted to the WK2 "off road edition" since i first saw the pictures. Anyone know if Jeep put a matte black roof on it as well as the top of the hood?
The jeep dealer by my house has a silver 2012 on the lot with flat black wheels that I love. I sent them an email asking them if it came from Jeep like that and if they had any info on where I could get it done in the Chicagoland area, but I have not heard back yet. I'd be really interested in doing it to my Dark Charcoal Jeep.
