OK stupid exterior question

I buy windshield wiper fluid from chain auto parts stores. My problem is the fluid from the left washer nozzle leaves faint but noticeable white spots on the left window and on the chrome trim. Yes, I can get them off chrome polish(Meguars).

Does anyone use a specific fluid that won't leave spots?

Dan

I use Rain-X 2 in 1 washer fluid. No spots, and has the added benefit of making rain fly off the windshield.

Distilled water with a good additive mixed on the light side is pretty ideal. The vast majority of those additives and fluids are alcohol, dyes, and water. Regular water has more dissolved solids which hurts too. I don't want that on my paint no matter what brand, alcohol kills wax, plastic, rubber, etc. stains windshields too.

Re: OK stupid exterior question

Thanks y'all. I'll give RainX a try as I have not used it.

Re: OK stupid exterior question

I only use rain-x as mentioned above. It's really the best fluid you can use IMHO.

I use Zecol Purple Power washer fluid year round. Does a great job of cutting through the bug splatter. More importantly to me is that it will cut through frost and light ice without scraping... it's good to -35F.
