Do you have pictures of the Mopar ones? Trying to decide which ones to go with, Mopar or Weathertech.

Re: ?? on wind deflectors

Based on those pics and finding which deflectors those are, I'm definitely getting a set. Don't want to hijack the thread but also got a big question, what what kind of wheels are those. I'd buy them too.

Just a not to anyone thinking about buying a set. Definitely go with the "in channel" ones they look 100 times better because they are sleek

Re: ?? on wind deflectors

Can someone explain to me the reason for Wind Deflectors? I'm ignorant on them. Or is this just a look thing?

"Wind Deflector" is actually a misnomer

There are three primary advantages ... all when the vehicle is parked.

(1) you can lower the window(s) when parked ... I usually do it to the front windows ... and therefore vent the car if it is uncomfortably hot or humid (eg Kansas today) and your vehicle is not in a garage. Obviously you can do the same thing with the roof vent ... but you're in trouble if
it rains hard or if you are city driving in the above conditions. The ventshades allow you to do this in the city.

(2) If it rains hard while you leave the vehicle parked, you still vent the car and no moisture comes in.

(3) Amazingly ... NO FLIES enter your vehicle so long as you keep the lowered window above the bottom of the ventshade.

Second the suggestion that only the "in channel" products are worth a damn. AND whatever you do, immediately after install, roll the window up and DO NOT TOUCH them for at least 48 hours. This will give you a good seal.

Also it is best to install these during the hot time of the year to get a good seal. Or I suppose you could shut your windows and use a hair dryer to help it seal.
