Opinions needed " GRAND CHEROKEE " on the front instead of " JEEP "
I've been contemplating replacing the JEEP emblem from the front hood and replacing it with the GRAND CHEROKEE emblem off the srt8. Not sure how long or or how thick the letters are? Something like the Range Rover, what do you think?
Re: Opinions needed " GRAND CHEROKEE " on the front instead of " JEEP "
IMHO, The only reason Range Rover can pull that off is each word has an equal number of letters. Seeing Grand Cherokee on the front would drive me crazy b/c it would not be symmetrical, but I am weird like that!

*NOTE: This is coming from a person that HATE any type of badge on a car. *
I think its a little much. Too many words, might have to bunch it all together that would make it look even worst. Hard to line up all of the words together. etc.
Re: Opinions needed " GRAND CHEROKEE " on the front instead of " JEEP "
This is subjectively in the eye of the owner/beholder...
But, I gotta agree with 'Moose' to either leave the 'Jeep' alone or de-badge altogether.
IMO the G.C. from the SRT door is too large in size & letter-look for the hood lip & as 'bmrisko' said the Range Rover can pull it off based on its balanced 5 + 5 letter-look as well as its larger/fuller lip edge.
But, If someone really likes it... Then go for it!

How about you replacing the Jeep lettering with an Overland Badge? Then you could always save the jeep lettering for the right side of the liftgate if you ever have the chrome brow smoothed and color matched
Okay here is my attempt at a logical reason why you should not do it from a symetrical stand point
R-A-N-G-E R-O-V-E-R is exactly ten characters with a space in the middle so it is easy to center and it looks balance
G-R-A-N-D C-H-E-R-O-K-E-E is 13 character with a space in the middle.
eventhough they posted a picture of it done already it tends to look tacked on instead of it belonging there.
Re: Opinions needed " GRAND CHEROKEE " on the front instead of " JEEP "
not that i like the look of grand cheorkee on the hood......
but "land rover" is spelled out on the hood of some models and that is not an even number--- it has 9 letters with a space, just pointing out that the theory of even lettering isnt right its about size and shape. the jeep letters are too small and the word is too long, nothing to do with the number of letters in total more about the length of the word and size of the lettering, also if you just did jeep that is too short so either way it looks bad lol
and i agree with the thing about the front lip its too small to have that much lettering on it so it would be distracting, it could only work if the lip was bigger so the letters could be bigger so they wouldnt look squished in to fit..... and if jeep ever did this it would be a total rip off from range rover and take the uniquiness out of jeep, they dont need to copy range rover they already have an icon with the 7 slot grill and four simple letters above it
