Got a new one today at AAA. Same clunky white box, 1/2" to 3/4" thick. I asked about the new card written about a year back, and they didn't have a clue.

Re: Optimum Location for E-Z Pass Card

In Florida you have a choice: original box or a "mini" stickon. I have the mini on my 'vert because I often park with the top down and boxes for the othr cars since can swap around.

Re: Optimum Location for E-Z Pass Card

I put the 3M SJ3560 Dual Lock stickies behind the automatic wiper dots behind the mirror so the box is nearly against the headliner. With the box detached the strips are hardly noticeable, and even with the box attached the dots help hide the thing. At that high location the box is completely hidden from driver's eyes -- if you're tall, as I am.

BTW, a guy on Amazon says you can get free replacement 3M sticky strips by calling E-ZPass. Nominally the strips are good for 1,000 on/offs.

Re: Optimum Location for E-Z Pass Card

By box is near the same spot, the overhead console blocks it from my vision. You can also swing by one of the ezpass service centers for strips. I have a number of vehicles that share one pass and I picked up extra strips there.

In PA? Customer service from PennDOT is normally an oxymoron.

Re: Optimum Location for E-Z Pass Card

I didn't mount mine at all. Only use it infrequently but when needed I just set it on the console and hold it up against the windshield while passing under the scanner.

Maybe not the safest but seems to work just fine.

NY closed all their E-Z Pass offices in June. Too bad; one was just a couple of miles from my house. The website is easy to use though.
