Re: Overland Black Interior: What to Expect?

Yep, it looks that way in the pictures I've seen

Re: Overland Black Interior: What to Expect?

Can't seem to find out if the piping on the seats of the black Overland interior is white like the indigo/brown. I know it's all subjective, but the white piping on the indigo/brown is the only real reason I don't like it. Any one out there know?

Re: Overland Black Interior: What to Expect?

I don't mind either way on the piping. I think the white actually looks good and breaks up all the black a little. I sure wish they would release some official pictures of the black interior so I can compare with the indigo. I still have time to change it...

The finishes should match, and they do on all other vehicles with matte finished wood. If they have wood leather wheels...they are matte finish too.
Nothing 4,000 2,000, 1,000, or 800 grit wet sanding and 30 minutes of your time won't take care of until you find the sheen you want.

though i agree....match it from the beginning...matte would probably feel much better on your hands. people don't armor-all steering wheels for a reason...they shouldn't be slippery.

This will be my first vehicle with a wood steering wheel, so can't speak to if they're actually slick or not....but aesthetically...it could be better.

It isn't. It's quite comfortable to hold actually,

You shouldn't have to (nor would I) take sandpaper to a brand new $50k vehicle.

Re: Overland Black Interior: What to Expect?

Agree, the wood wheels aren't slippery, even the glossy ones. I've had wood wheels in cars going all the way back to 1998.

Re: Overland Black Interior: What to Expect?

That's exactly what I wanted to see! That wood is not bad at all, I actually like it. I also like the white stitching on the seats.
