Overland grill inserts

Ok, so I tried searching for this but found conflicting info. Can the black mesh inserts on the overland grill be removed. Just purchased a Laredo grill from anothe member with the intention of painting it before I pick up the truck and need to know if I can swap the inserts.

Thanks

Re: Overland grill inserts

the inserts themselves are part of the grille. The actual part the is removable is actually the Chromed sheild with the 7 slots. If you have a laredo/limited grille with the vertical fins they are part of the black plastic frame.

Re: Overland grill inserts

is there any way to remove the chrome part of the grill from the truck without the inserts? i have a second grill which i separated from the inserts and had painted- trying to see if I can swap the chrome parts without taking the fender off.
