Overland Hemi Economy Button

Do you guys use the Econ on most of the time or use the Hemi full time. Just wondering if there really is a big difference in MPG. I've only had the vehicle for a week so far.

Re: Overland Hemi Economy Button

I don't know about MPG, but I can't stand the rumble the MDS causes at times. It seems to resonate with the lows from the radio. So, I turn it off whenever I get in the Jeep.

I did notice that rumble. Sounds like a tin can vibration noise.

Re: Overland Hemi Economy Button

I'd wait until you've broken in the hemi before trying to check fuel differences.
Running it up thru the gears in sport mode after the first few hundred miles is supposed to help with break in.

Doesn't appear to have affected oil consumption, I've got about 17K on a hemi and it doesn't burn even as much as a quart in 5K miles even with some enthusiastic mountain freeway climbing on weekends. I almost wonder if I am not burning ENOUGH oil... like the old Jaguar 6 where low oil consumption was not good news.
