Overland mesh grill insert installation

I have a 2015 Limited with Lux II package and Advanced Tech Package. I became interested in adding the mesh grill after looking at pics on this forum and reading about installation methods (top down vs bumper removal).

I am not car savvy. This took me probably about 5 hours over the course of 2 days (ran out of daylight on day 1). I am amazed that anybody was able to do the top-down method without causing damage to their vehicle. Props to those of you who were successful this way. I am average sized and I could not do the top-down method. I was not interested in removing the bumper.

I ended up cutting the old grill out with some gardening shears. Through many trials and tribulations I was eventually able to get the new grill in place. I was not able to get all of the clips to engage, however, and I think this is because I was a little rough removing the old one. It seems to be secure enough and I think the improvement in look is quite obvious.

I got the mesh on a non-OEM site for around 30$.

you should have ripped the nose off ...it would have taken you less than 1 hr to complete the whole thing...the first time I ever pulled the nose off my jeep I did it in the dark and installed a new upper and lower mesh grill and it took me about 1 hr.

Now I can rip the nose off my jeep in like 10 minutes...seeing as how I've done it like 10 times at this point I just take the nose off if I need to do any work to the lights or grill/intercooler etc...

to remove the nose you just pop off a few rivets...and a couple bolts and pull ...pretty straightforward
