Angry Paint Dust on Engine/ engine bay

Hello to all, About a month ago my 2012 Overland was rear-ended and was taken to the dealer for repairs. I just got it back two days ago and I was checking it out today and noticed what looked like corrosion on the aluminum parts of the engine...5.7 Hemi.... Also the iron parts like the harmonic balancer has rust on it. I took a soft bush and rubbed the aluminum and saw dust flying around, so to cut to the chase..... How can I clean all this crap off SAFELY... I do not want to make it worse, it is driving me crazy looking at it as i take pride in cleaning my ride just as others do and i would appreciate ANY and ALL Advice. Thank You in advance. John Grom
