Paint w/ badge removal

I just removed all my badges on my 2012. Which means the paint has been affected by sun etc.. for close to four years. The back tailgate looks great. However, on the hood you can still see where the "Jeep" emblem was. I used Goo Gone to remove the adhesive and then followed that up with a clay bar. Anything else I could do to blend or buff this out?

Thanks

Paint w/ badge removal

What type of clay did you use? and has the hood ever been re-painted?

This is what i would try after the clay bar:

- Compound (mild-medium cut) this should really eliminate the shadow effect you have

- Polish (1-2 coats)

- Wax

You might try a DA polisher and some cutting compound, but If unsure and not done before, I would recommend trying on an older car 1st

That or try a local car wash that does detailing--- They usually have a package for X amount of $$.... Then ask how much for the spots...shouldn't cost more than 20 bucks...they can do that in a few minutes
