Re: Painted the Chrome grille and taillight piece

The outer chrome piece can be removed and is the same part camera or no camera.

The Chrome on the mineral gray looks beautiful

hey man thanks! I'm going to get the old piece off and have the vendor on here paint it or I do know a guy here in town who can do it either or I am going to have this done that chrome piece is too much for me, and I like chrome accents lol.

yeah, I have left everything chrome on my overland but the rear brow. It should have been color matched from the factory and I see they did away with it for the '14 refresh. The only other planned change is removing the chrome side door strips and replace with the "grand cherokee" lettering like the SRT, Altitude, and trailhawk models. They did away with the chrome strips across all models for the '14 as well.

Re: Painted the Chrome grille and taillight piece

Looks good! but is it just me or is the colour match slightly off? The grill and rear brow seem to have more of a bluish/green tinge to it. Maybe it's just my computer screen.

Maybe because I think the chrome is cheap and tacky looking.

Re: Painted the Chrome grille and taillight piece

The back looks great, but I am not a fan of the front. Imo, while I love the look of our jeeps, the front end is just a little off. With painting the grill, I think it makes the grills and headlights look too small in comparison to the rest of the beefiness that our front ends convey. While I'm not the biggest fan of chrome, it creates an illusion that the grill is a little bigger than what it actually is.

Fwiw, the back is a definite improvement over the chrome.
