Re: Partial De-Chrome

hard to tell from the picture but only the top surface of the letters is left chrome. the sides of the chrome letters are painted body color. this wasn't intentional on my part. i didn't think to tell scott not to paint the sides of the letters. i think it probably makes the chrome JEEP letters a little more subdued because all of the sides are body colored. not sure how i feel about this but i'll be living with it for the foreseeable future.

the valley outlining the letters was intentionally painted body color by scott. first i had him leave it chrome but then it looked weird so he went back and painted it.

Re: Partial De-Chrome

I love the painted parts, this has been on my wish list for a while now I really need to pull the trigger! Where you're at though I'd love to see it with black wheels maybe SRT reps.

Nice. Go ahead and do the door handles. Just for Jeeps finally have the instructions so I did mine last weekend.

Any info on the liftgate bar from the altitude package? I definitely want to pursue this for replacing the liftgate bar and the chrome step.

Re: Partial De-Chrome

Love the mods you've done! Already had my brow painted, and after seeing yours I ordered the black rear bumper step piece also. Thanks for sharing.

you can buy them on justforjeeps.com. they come as one piece and you have to order two of them, one for each side.

Re: Partial De-Chrome

I'm getting Brilliant Black Mirrors for just the cost of labor. Dealer actually wants my chrome mirrors for a used Laredo that they just got that only has 100 miles on it.
