Partial tint removal - anybody did it?

Is it possible to easily remove tint on rear window to be able to put 2"x2" sticker. If I just put the sticker there on top of tint I afraid it will be hard to see and will be a hassle every time I have to use it.

Sticker looks like this

Re: Partial tint removal - anybody did it?

You cant remove the factory tint, the glass itself is tinted. Its not like the tint that people add aftermarket that is just a tint coating over regular glass. so I think you are out of luck on that one

Re: Partial tint removal - anybody did it?

I've done this recently. Take a trash bag and soak the window in a pneumonia solution then tape the trash bag to hold the solution against the tint of the window. Wait until it's a sunny day and keep windows rolled up so it heats up in the car also. I'd leave it on all day, then use a hard edge squeegee to push on tint of just pull off then clean window. This method I found get rid of that sticky film residue...

Re: Partial tint removal - anybody did it?

From Wikipedia:
"Pneumonia is an inflammatory condition of the lung affecting primarily the microscopic air sacs known as alveoli.[2][3] Typical signs and symptoms include a cough with phlegm, chest pain, fever, and trouble breathing.[4] Symptoms can vary from mild to severe.[5] People who are old or very young may not have typical symptoms.[6] Usually people begin improving within three days of starting treatment; however, they may feel tired for more than a month afterwards."

How do you get this on your windshield?

Perhaps ammonia is the word we should be using ?

Although this may only work on surface tint (aftermarket). Factory tint is embedded within the glass layers.
