Re: Phillips 3157 LED Brake/Turn

My Philips LED and resistors (from Xenon Depot) are working just fine for around 5 months now.

Re: Phillips 3157 LED Brake/Turn

I must have got some bad ones. I installed the new ones I bought and no more errors.

Re: Phillips 3157 LED Brake/Turn

I purchased bulbs from Pep Boys for cheap, if you order online they seem to always have a 25 or 30% off code.

I installed tonight without resistors and the following happens...just like what happens to everyone else.

1. I get a bulb out indication for left and right side on startup.
2. Dash indicator hyper flashes
3. Side mirror leds hyper flash
4. Front and rear turn signals flash at normal speed.
5. Flasher unit noise is at double/hyper flash speed.

Rear turns/brake light are bright...I don't think I can handle the hyper flash noise in the cabin. Not gonna splice/tap factory harness for resistors. I do have an idea about adding resistors without touching factory harness.

Re: Phillips 3157 LED Brake/Turn

Have you had any issues with the resistors? I used the same LED bulbs and the philips canbus warning canceller. However every 4 months the resistor burns out. Today is the 3rd time they've gone out.

Any idea what other resistor brand can I use?

They are really well built, I know XenonDepot will take care of you!

I most certainly did have issues with those resistors. I replaced them with these.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've had them in since December of last year and not one single issue since.

I used the same resistors, but with the Acme Red Rocket LED bulbs.
It's only been about a month, but my setup is still going strong.
