Interesting, also Philips resistor?
If this happens to me one more time in the near future a strong warning not to use Philips would be in order but we'll need to see....

The stuff is made in Mexico, maybe made cheaply? For automotive the standards need top be high, the stuff needs to last for years or at least as long as a regular light bulb ...

Nope...it was a resistor that jeep addicted sent with my tail harness...but it probably got wet by looking at it.

OK. I hate the need for these resistors. While the LED should last a long time (in theory) the resistor will probably fail much sooner due to heat/cold cycles. Aren't they made up of tons of wire similar to an electric heater? Eventually the wire will break....

I'd recommend buying from XenonDepot instead of Wally world. XenonDepot actually cares.

I just had a resistor good bad on me also and you seems to be right I should of gone with Xenondepot. Seems like Walmart used a third party to get me the Leds and resistors so now I'm trying to get in contact with them for hopefully a replacement or refund. They don't answer the phone at all so I might just be stuck.

Mavelex - Let me know if you run into an issue. I'll help you out with the Philips CanBUS LED load resistors.

You mean you also had a defective Philips resistor?
If so then probably almost certainly non-automotive standard, simply cheap...
