I just wash the car like normal. Sponge, soapy water, rinse then chamois. So far so good.

Clarkey.

Re: Pic of black bug deflector?

hi Clarkey,

hows the plastidip holding up so far? I wanted to do the same on my GC but was worried about the lifespan and if you clear coated it or not? have you seen the Aussie product like Plastidip?
Thanks mate

Re: Pic of black bug deflector?

Guys I know this is an old thread but the bug shield in the very first pic, I like the way it stops at the hood lines and doesn't flare up. Seems the new shield flares up. Did they change the style or maybe I can cut it.

Mmmm...it does look like that top bit is missing or it could be just the photo. Was going to say it might be an aftermarket one but it has 'Jeep' on the right.

I've had both styles of the Mopar one on mine. Don't get the one with screw heads visible. The brackets it attaches to will rub into your bonnet.

I now have the one that screws in under the bonnet. Yes it has that lip but looks okay. (Excuse the bird turd) Although I would paint the back black if putting on a white car.

Dude, you have some healthy birds in your nick of the woods!

Was looking at the same, but GC being bright white, not to sure about the final look.

That one will rub as described here.
Why I hate bug deflectors

Perhaps consider using something more than the 3M stickers that are provided.

Here's the bird turd one on a white. I'd paint the back black.
