Re: Pic of black bug deflector?

Thanks for the link on the thread, Bigskiddy, that's what I though you said by painting it black...Just not sure I want to lose the visual on the JEEP logo...To hole point is to protect the front part of the hood, I know, but I like the Logo a lot ...maybe Iíll look into a clear 3M solution...thanks again for the input and pix of the white GC final look...

I had a deflector on my '02 Jeep Overland. At the glass shop, the installer told me they love people who put them on their SUV's because it keeps them in business! He said the deflectors make the rocks fly up over the hood & hit the windshield! He said I should install protective film instead! So that is what I did with my '14 Overland & it looks amazing! This is what I bought & I had it professionaly installed:

Not so sure your glass guy is right since I have been getting guite a fee small nicks towards the bottom of my windshield. But maybe..... Clear bra did not work for me because of crappy installation or would 1000% agree with you. If you can find a good installer that is the way to go.

Anyhow has anyone tried the Stampede? Hubby has one on his older GMC and it sits off the hood and does not touch. There is no need for metal brackets or protective dots to keep it off the paint. Just saw a new Tahoe with one on it and it looks to fit the same.

Re: Pic of black bug deflector?

well I'd rather replace the windshield any day compared to having something repainted. And for the miniscule amount of money my insurance charges for glass it's a no brainer.
