Plasti’d

I just wanted to send out a few quick pics of the latest change to the Jeep. I went the Plasti route because I did a short term lease this time around and I’m only doing mods that are reversible. So far, debadged, lowered on Eibachs and now blacked out the chrome. For those of you thinking of going this route it is a pretty simple process. Just give yourself plenty of time to do the trim work after you spray as that is the most time consuming.

Good luck and feel free to fire away with questions.

Re: Plasti’d

Looks awesome! Do you have a Laredo E with the 20" wheel and nav package? Or an x package with the 20" wheels?

Thought about it, maybe over the winter. Was just concerned about wear and tear on the dip (rocks, salt in winter). I have plenty of dip left so may as well do something with it.

Yea, I'm a speed freak and its not winning any races. Just bought two 2012's (his/hers) and was coming out of a 2011 Corvette so was a bit upside down. This is a short lease that'll get me through to the 2014 SRT8. I'm still kicking myself for getting rid of my 2010 SRT8 GC that I traded in for the Vette. Mistake, loved that Jeep. Before that I had a C55 AMG. Now I have to jump on the bike when I want to go fast.

Re: Plasti’d

I actually like the look as is. Doing the wheels would be too much black. Looks very clean and simple right now. I say leave it as is looks great!

Thanks and agree. I'm on the fence with wheels. Don't get me wrong, I love that look, but not sure it's for me. I may do it during the crappy winter months and see if it grows on me and peel it off if it doesn't. Concerned a bit about all the angles on the wheels. In small areas its easy to cover up thin spots, wheels may present a challenge.
