Thumbs up on the plasti dip working on the stock chrome lug nuts with out pealing when put back on! I only did one to test it 3 light coats and it worked fine. Im going to do another lug with 5 coats for a perminent application.
I would recomend doing a minimum of 5 coats... Let it curr for a minmum for 4 hours (per instructions). When appling make sure you put steady torque on the lug to desired "tightness" (predrably use a torque wrench) this way you will minimise any pealing from the lug. Or you can just buy a set of black lug nuts cheers!!!
I covered up the brakes and brake drum with garbage bags and left the wheels on.
Sprayed the lot.
5 coats
Came out so good, will post photos once its cured and out of the garage.
I did the same thing. I'm yet to try and remove the lug nuts with the dip on, but I forsee it holding up pretty well. If not, I'll just re-dip or remove it from all of them.
