Plasti dipped wheels and tinted tails on a 2014

Well I was planning to get the wheels powder coated gloss black, but its hard for me to have the car out of commission for long enough to get it done right now. The stock look was killing me so I took a few hours to plasti dip the wheels and paint the brake calipers black. Came out ok, not as glossy as I thought 4 coats of glossifier would come out. But I like the look much better than stock for now. Here are some pics!

Other exterior mods are tinted tails with chrome part matched to car color, same with the mirror caps. Added tow hooks, tow hitch, overland grille and 18% tint with 70% on the windshield.

Interior shot, mopar pedals, hard wired radar and mopar floor mats

No, factory suspension, I'm a RWD-er
It does look kind of low in the pics though... Maybe it's the black wheels illusion? Lol

how did you paint the tail lights, i mean the chrome part? just masked it? how much did the front tow hooks set you back? im getting annoyed looking at the covers thinking something must go on there. sorry for all the questions!

The chrome part is held on by 2 screws and can be taken off when the taillights are off.

Front tow hooks in black are significantly cheaper than the chrome. I got them from www.justforjeeps.com for ~160 I think.

I agree with you about the covers, that's half the reason why I did it!

Love the look of the painted wheels. I like that you left the center caps and lug nuts as is. Nice looking Jeep. I would love to see the 18" wheels plasti-dipped in black. So far haven't seen any.

Re: Plasti dipped wheels and tinted tails on a 2014

The minimal gloss on the wheels look great. The window tint fits the picture... Subtlety sinister.

Hope you have a good radar detector... Lived in Coconut Creek, worked in Hollywood in a past life... BSO can be somewhat enthusiastic at times.
