Plastidip on a Deep Auburn Pearlcoat

Anyone ever seen it or thoughts on how it would look? I'm not sure I'm too fond of the chrome.... but not sure how it will look with the color.

Use vinyl or have it painted. Pasti-Dip only looks good from a distance or in pictures.

Re: Plastidip on a Deep Auburn Pearlcoat

Black trim looks great on all the colors. Not sure what MOFSTEEL is talking about. Maybe if someone does a crap job of applying it and take bad care of it then Plasti-dip may look bad up close, but if you apply it right and use the Glossifier clear coat then it can come out looking great from far away and close up. People always rave to me about how good my black trim looks. They often think I had it professionally done or it came that way, then I have to explain about Plasti-dip.

If your not sure about the black trim then Plasti-dip is an even better option because if you don't like it you can peel it off and your only out $10 per can as opposed to spending hundreds on having it permanently painted.

Check out the thread below.
If you want to spray rubber on your car so you can get props from 16 yr olds that's up to you.

What color vinyl wrap?

Yes, I want to impress 16 year olds. I don't know how that comment even makes sense. If that was directed at me, I don't understand the insulting tone. I wasn't trying to suggest that you did a crap job of Plasti-dipping, merely that perhaps some of the cars that you have observed with Plasti-dip were done badly.

You talk up vinyl wrap then link to a thread that talks about how vinal wrap breaks down and peels when exposed to heat, rain, and wind.

Great Post.

I'm with MOFSTEEL, but only because most of the PlastiDip I see was done by the broke A$$ teens who do it very badly.
I've yet to see a really nice PlastiDip job but maybe because my friends and I don't run with that crowd, I do appreciate the ease of reversibility of it.
