I did the grill today and it came out good, until I tried to take the tape out and two small pieces came out. Oh the pain...

Take the tape as the dip is still wet - thats a small tip I learned while doing my wheels, emblem.

As for the car wash, I had two chips, nothing that a retouch can't fix

I'll paint it again when we have another warm weekend here in Jersey. Thanks for the tip.

ive taken my ride through a soft brush car wash through the winter months and the plastidip held up fine, just make sure you give the product enough time to set...i gave my wheels a good week through varying temps (65F-29F)...when i got it washed it was about 50F that day, and everything was fine.

I really like the black from plasti dip and how it contrasts with the black on my truck. I hope it gets warmer during the weekends here in Jersey so I can re do it and do the side mirrors and tailgate.

About how many cans for the wheels? And do you have to take the tires off the rims?

No, but it will be a lot easier if you do. I got a few questionable spots only I know about. LOL
