Plastidipped the Stock 18's Looks So Much Better

I dipped the 18's just to see how black wheels sits with me and I like it. My concern is going through a car wash.

Anyone have experience with going through a car wash with plastidipped wheels or any parts for that matter?

Heres a quick cell phone pic for now

Re: Plastidipped the Stock 18's Looks So Much Better

the grill was simple.. def remove the bumper so u dont have to deal with overspray mess or anything..before i removed my bumper i went and got the plastic rivots from jeep but thank god he just hooked me up and gave them to me for free.. when i finished the grill and all and reinstalled the bumper i realized that those rivots are pointless and a pain..next time i go to remove my bumper im going to go to autozone and buy the standard plastic push clips that are a 1/4 inch so i can remove when ever i want.. no need to spend 6 bux each on those rivots.

Re: Plastidipped the Stock 18's Looks So Much Better

Hey guys..just actually did my hood and roof today..came out well, just not sure I like the look - I also have some pics of the grill on my WK, not quite as nice as the new one but it'll give you an idea. The grill makes a huge difference

I was thinking about doing the hood indentation in the middle.... but it's really hard to do this in large surfaces.

Yes it is. Looks so different. Has the look of stock and clean but also different from the 7 other JGC at every stop light.

Anyone try doing just the INTERIOR surfaces of the wheels and spokes with Plastidip, like some members have had body shops do with paint?
