I dipped the 18's just to see how black wheels sits with me and I like it. My concern is going through a car wash.

Anyone have experience with going through a car wash with plastidipped wheels or any parts for that matter?

Heres a quick cell phone pic for now

the grill was simple.. def remove the bumper so u dont have to deal with overspray mess or anything..before i removed my bumper i went and got the plastic rivots from jeep but thank god he just hooked me up and gave them to me for free.. when i finished the grill and all and reinstalled the bumper i realized that those rivots are pointless and a pain..next time i go to remove my bumper im going to go to autozone and buy the standard plastic push clips that are a 1/4 inch so i can remove when ever i want.. no need to spend 6 bux each on those rivots.

Yes it is. Looks so different. Has the look of stock and clean but also different from the 7 other JGC at every stop light.
is the color of your jeep blackberry pearl? I was also thinking about black rims but didn't know how it would look..and i think it looks great!

ive taken my ride through a soft brush car wash through the winter months and the plastidip held up fine, just make sure you give the product enough time to set...i gave my wheels a good week through varying temps (65F-29F)...when i got it washed it was about 50F that day, and everything was fine.

Can someone help. I want to get black lug nuts for my wheels because when putting the wheels back on after plastidipping there is no way to tighten the lug nuts without compromising the finish of the plastdip.

What size do I need for the stock 18's and what type or shape or style? I want them to look and fit exactly like the stock ones just black. Thanks!

Anyone try the new plasti-dip smoke? This is the same stuff as the original, but is more of a dark gray that goes from light charcoal, to dark grey depending on how many coats you do. I would prefer dark gray look over black if I were to use this stuff. There are videos of this new smoke version online. Dipyourcar.com video shows them applying it to a chrome grill and it looked amazing!

Does anyone know if the plasti-dip smoke is available in stores or is it online only?

Thanks?
James
