I plan to put my chrome caps on the aftermarket mirrors and sell them hoping to get most of my money back.
The gloss black, does it match the Chrysler brilliant black color? Wondering if this is plain black with a clear coat or a black with metallic flakes like the PXR color.

Pretty drastic difference. Well worth the $15 and 2 hours of my time.
How did you prep the chrome caps? I hope at least you scuffed and cleaned the caps. Adhesion promoter is a must. Looks good. I hope it holds up for you. I am always worried about chips and the chrome showing through. That's why I took the route I did.

Yes, I scuffed and primed the caps, wet sanded, painted, then polished and waxed for a bit of added protection. If I had more patience, I would have wet sanded between paint coats, but I'm not so I didn't.

Can you post some pictures? Also where did you end up buying the mirrors for $90 shipped? Was it both mirrors? if so that's a great price.
