Using a flathead screwdriver from a eyeglass repair kit, you can carefully pry under the lens of the tailgate lights and either pop off the lens, or pull out the whole housing. If you only get the lens off, pull the housing through the panel for easy reassembly. Replace the bulb, pop the lens back on the housing, then push the housing back in the panel.

Would you happen to have a video of doing this?

Good luck with the PrecisionLED bulbs. I have replace 6 of them. Only had them 2 months. They started blinking, flashing on an off. They replaced them but they should have lasted forever....

The tailgate cover is the most flimsy piece of plastic on the whole Jeep in my opinion. So you shouldn't worry too much about the quality of it in the first place.

Just pull on it and the clips release pretty easily. I've probably done it 30+ times in trying to solve a rattle from that area.

It can be finnicky to get back on just right, but it only takes a few tries and helps if you have one other person to assist in lining things up.

Just FYI.

LOL. Yea yea. Don't wanna break her. Okay, I'm kidding. I also did the eyeglass screwdriver method the first time I installed my blue LED's. When I got this set, I decided to pull the trim off because it was already been off for other things I have done mods for.
