PSA.... Found something cool to prevent door scuffs.

I found these after seeing them available for others foreign cars. I've been looking for these for a long time and finally found and ordered them. They seem to fit pretty well and so far I'm just attaching them with 3m command velcro strips meant for hanging pictures. I plan to use the real 3m velcro that won't fall off in the summer soon but I wanted to make sure I liked the looks of them first. I haven't put the rears on yet but they look like they should fit as well. Pretty cool and a good way to protect your door panels from people kicking them. They are machine washable supposedly and they have many different colors/trim options if you are so inclined. I personally like the classic black on black so it matches everything. It will take a while to get these if you do order them but I ordered two sets for $70 ish that way if I ever wear one set out I'm covered.

Here is the link:

I was aprehensive about Aliexpress but everything came as described.

Hope this helps some of you. I appreciate all I've learned from this board and maybe can help someone who cares about door scuffs. ; )

Thanks for the link! I've been scolding my kids when their feet hit the door panels upon exit. Turns out I'm the biggest offender. I'm ordering. Thanks.

The sad part is, this should come standard on the doors from the factory like it used to.

Worth every penny.

What color did you order? I'm not seeing dark gray which I think I'd need. These are the colors listed.

Color: Army Green, Sky Blue, Chocolate, orange, Light gray, Light green

I actually ordered black with black trim. The match my interior with black leather/black plastic pretty well. Just make a note when you place what color you want. I think they might have more colors than are listed. I asked for black with back trim when I ordered and they confirmed that is what I would get.

Good luck!

You should see the interior of my 2014 JGC to combat door scuffs. I have painter's tape on almost anything that is plastic or chrome that my kids could kick/scuff/scratch, lol!

Nice find! I'm wondering though, did you pay the 62 dollars for a set of four or is it 62 dollars for each piece?

I can't believe how soft the plastic is in these cars. I glance the plastic with my fingernail and I've scratched it. The recall they did for the OBD left 4 panels on my center console scratched/gouged they now have to replace and the console is not lined up correctly. And so when it goes in to have the damaged panels replaced I am dreading what else they will do to it. And it better not cause rattles. This whole deal is as result of the recall, nothing that was really my choice.

Seriously an almost $50k vehicle should be more durable. The service manager told me the softer plastic gives it a more upscale look and feel customers want. So for the time it sits on the dealer lot I agree. But in actual use scratched plastic looks like sh**. And the center console where you click your searbelt is PAINTED black. WTH? At least if you get a slate gray Sharpie and carefully dot the scratches snd smudge it with your finger you can lessen them quite a bit (on the black interior). The service manager also mentioned paint protection film can also be used on the plastic.... I plan to try that where the seatbelts are to reduce further scratches in that are. Heck I may even cover the whole interior if it works. ; )

It was two entire sets of four. I thought pretty reasonable. I wanted a spare in case they started looking ratty, the 3M tape while removable will probably be a permanent fixture. I plan to keep my jeep for a long time (maxcare lifetime warranty).

Those are a good alternative.

I have had good luck with a magic eraser taking the scuffs off.
