UPDATE: Added Vanity Bulb replacement

As some members have asked, this is what I have assembled thus far in trying to convert the regular bulbs to LED. I haven't personally been able to do the swaps yet, however they have all been obtained from various forum posts from members who have done swaps here and there. Listed below is a quick chart to figure out which bulb you'll need for a particular application. This is all that I have ordered thus far from XenonDepot. All bulbs I believe are sold in Pairs. As I find out more, I'll add to this list. Since we have come to find out the manual for interior bulbs is incorrect, Its not as easy as using the original part number from the manual. For example the interior cargo part number in the manual is 214-2 which is a fuse style bulb. I took the bulb out, and it is NOT a fuse style bulb, but like the interior footwell bulb, a 194. Not sure why there are discrepancies in the manual.

Knock on wood, I have DRL, Tailgate, Reverse Tail, Reverse Tailgate and maybe I few others im forgetting and they have been great.

I put in a cheap set from pepboys which people like on this board for the license plate bulbs, one stopped working and the other flashed in about a weeks time. I replaced them at pepboys and the second set worked for two days then started flashing/not working. I have seen put the stock bulbs back in the license plate until I eventually order some putco's for the plate.

Hi,

I would like replace DRL in my JGC Overland, what is the difference between NOVA and Neutron?, Neutron is more brighter than nova, but this is 360 and Neutron look like directional LED, what is the true current drain in watts, someone put a 7W LED in his DLR, I am concern about overheat or overload in the circuit and fuse burn problems,

Thanks,

Make sure you only order 1 box of DRL LEDs becuz kbcartsuff.com doesn't not list try are sold in pairs and then they charge for a stocking fee when u attempt to return becuz they list them wrong. Bs and a scam. Will never order from them again. Customer service is worthless and rude also. Buyer beware!!

Others do charge a restocking fee but at least they have that listed somewhere on their website but KB does NOT anything regarding a restocking fee on their website. Also KB website does NOT state "sold in pairs" for particular bulb, so 1 would think they are sold individually. This is straight off KB website, amazon takes to long for next day air. If try don't post info on website, they should NOT gouge the consumer. Like i said, I will never order from Kbcarstuff.com ever again. I will purposely go to their biggest competitor for all my orders from now on

Steve,
Scorz20 WAS a customer of yours who ordered parts according to your listed website quantities and now is stuck with 2 extra LEDs with no use for them. The particular part page does not say "sold in pairs" but other product pages do say "sold in pairs" or "Qty=2" ALso your website does NOT state any thing regarding restocking fees. DId not know customers had to check and independent forum (which is great) to learn your business policies or updating your website (over 5 months and website still incorrect).

Yes, one for the main tail reverse light and one for the tailgate reverse. Thus 2 per drivers side and 2 per passenger side. Be aware though they don't utilize the same bulb. If I am not mistaken (double check the first page) The main reverse uses 7440 bulbs and the tailgate reverse uses 921 bulbs.

Can someone please post a quick DIY on how to replace the rear grab handle lights? For the life of me, I can not figure out how to gain access to the bulb. Maybe I am just being too gentle with it as I don't want to break any interior trim pieces w/ only 500 miles on the odometer. Thanks in advance! ;)

I'll have to go verify but if I remember correctly they pop out with a little force from a flat head driver on one side which then lets you pull it fully off. Will check when I can in an hour or so

Thanks! +Rep FOR SURE.

I want to replace the downlights in the tail gate, the interior ones, what bulbs are they? If anyone has replaced them yet.

Is there a good deal of difference after replacing the front fog lights and front lights with LED?
Id also be interested in seeing more photos and info from those of you who have swapped out the factory fogs for LED lights. I would like them to match my headlights without doing a full HID conversion. Thanks!

I found some short 194 LED bulbs on eBay for under $4 that fit great in the overhead console lights and match the other interior Putco bulbs perfectly. The bulbs with 2 rows of lights are too long to fit and the other 194 styles w/ only a single bulb were not bright enough, IMHO. I did not see a Putco equivalent listed on the first page, not to mention these were a lot cheaper, even when compared to Putco bulbs on Amazon! It appears that Jeep already has some type LED in the "map" portion of the lights...just wish they were a bit whiter, but not sure how easily they are changed out.

Do you really have to remove the interior panel in order to change this?
Description- 194 LED 360° Replacement Bulb
Color- Red
Part Number- 230194R-360
Application- (Liftgate Taillight)
Price- $22.99

And the taillight reverse....? Sounds like a major pain since you have to remove a bunch of stuff per the manual. Can anyone confirm there is no easier way?

#108 ·
Dont have to fully remove, if you pry/pop the plastic tabs along the outer rim of the panel and some on the sides (leaving the top nearest the window intact, you can pull it down enough to get your hands in there to change out the reverse taillights and red brake/running lamps in the tailgate..

Nothing, there is no H16 factory bulb replacement to mate to the Jeep. Best bet is to install an HID kit or if you want to put in an LED you can change the plug down there.. Check out this link

http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=33006&highlight=fog+bulb

Vleds makes an H16 LED, not plug as play as mentioned though.
