UPDATE: Added Vanity Bulb replacement

As some members have asked, this is what I have assembled thus far in trying to convert the regular bulbs to LED. I haven't personally been able to do the swaps yet, however they have all been obtained from various forum posts from members who have done swaps here and there. Listed below is a quick chart to figure out which bulb you'll need for a particular application. This is all that I have ordered thus far from XenonDepot. All bulbs I believe are sold in Pairs. Don't forget to use JG exclusive JGLED coupon code for 15% off total too!

As I find out more, I'll add to this list. Since we have come to find out the manual for interior bulbs is incorrect, Its not as easy as using the original part number from the manual. For example the interior cargo part number in the manual is 214-2 which is a fuse style bulb. I took the bulb out, and it is NOT a fuse style bulb, but like the interior footwell bulb, a 194. Not sure why there are discrepancies in the manual.

Has anyone had a problem using 194 LEDs in the rear grab handle lights? I put 2 different types of 194 LEDs and neither worked. I tried taking them out turning them to opposite way just in case they were polarized but still did not work.

Cool thread. Putco is actually based just down the road from me.

I converted all of the lights in/on my Patriot with LED's, but looks like doing the WK2 is going to be a little bit more pricey. I converted the interior of my Patriot to red LED's, it looked pretty sweet at night and wasn't too bright.

I am looking to do this as well. Has anyone been successful pulling out the soldered bulbs? How many lights would I need for the whole interior?

Hi,

So I finally tried to put my Nova LEDS in on the weekend for my DRLs, unsuccessfully.....

Only one side (LHS) would work even when I switched the LEDs around! Then both of them wouldn’t work, but when I put the standard globes in, they worked fine..

Any ideas on what’s going on here guys?

Ya - I was able to do mine and another user did his too. It does take soldering, but its not as difficult once you start doing it. Check out page 15 & 16 on this thread:

http://www.jeepgarage.org/f176/2014...s-interior-replace-headlamp-fog-56940-16.html

I don't remember how many bulbs total. I did end up doing all mine - stayed consistent with the type of bulbs and brightness. Got mine from superbrightleds.com. Cheaper than what some others posted on here and the other thread. Works and looks great - couldn't be happier with the look of it.

Get a soldering iron and follow my directions carefully in the thread I just linked to. Let us know how it goes

Can you link a list of the bulbs you used from superbrightled.com? The plug and play are easy, soldering I can do but need to buy another iron mine got lost somewhere along the way.

5050-CW6000: Cool White 5050 SMD LED 5050-CW6000: Cool White 5050 SMD LED

That was the small solderable led's you need to replace the ones that are already soldered. The 194's are standard. Just makes sure you get the "Cool White" as the color, again so they stay a consistent color. The visor lights are these:

F30-WHP-xV: Fuse LED Bulb - 1 SMD LED Festoon F30-WHP-12V : 12V

The 194's are these:

WLED-xHP5: 194 LED Bulb - 5 SMD LED Wide Angle Wedge Base WLED-WHP5: Cool White

Ok let me know if I have this right. I need the following items:

2 of 5050-CW6000: Cool White 5050 SMD LED
2 of WLED-WHP5: Cool White
4 of F30-WHP-12V : 12V

to replace the map lights and the visor lights correct?

Are the floor lights and the lights in the back 194's as well?

Trying to get this right for reference for future people.

(2) (get 4 in case of mess up only .65 a piece) Map Lights - of 5050-CW6000: Cool White 5050 SMD LED
(4) Visor/Vanity Lights - F30-WHP-12V : 12V 194's

(9) of WLED-xHP5: 194 LED Bulb - 5 SMD LED Wide Angle Wedge Base: Cool White 194's ------
(2) Map Lights/Overhead Console Reading Lamps
(2) Floor Wells/Under-panel Courtesy Lamps
(2) Rear Passenger Area/Grab Handle Lamp
(2) Rear lift gate Cargo Lamp
(1) Glove Box Lamp

That should be every non colored light in the vehicle. I am looking to add some ambient floor well LED matched color lights, but not for $300 Mopar kit.

Sounds about right. I used cool white for all my bulbs and couldn't be happier with the look.

Only challenging part is soldering the bulbs in the console. The above link to the thread should help with that. I had very little experience soldering, but I was able to do it just fine. Took a while and was pretty nerve racking. I bought a spare '14 overhead console off of ebay to try it out on. I thought I might be the first one to attempt it, so I wanted a backup in case I screwed it up - but it turned out to be smoother than I expected! Just take your time, read the tips in this thread and the other, and you should be good to go!

OK so I'm interested in adding some LED's above my license plate and for the reverse lights. There are barely any pics in this thread of how this looks - anyone got any?

Are there any options that aren't super intensely bright? I really only want them to look like OEM LED lights, such as on the 2014 license plate.

you dont remove it. Unless you wanna take down the entire circuit board and take it off and solder on a new one. Yea, sucks.

Personally, I plan to cover that entire bulb. Some have used elec tape. I plan on doing something a lil cleaner. its low heat, and not on very long plus its covered by a secondary cover so I am not worried about any heat related issue to covering it.
